An extraction shooter is not an extraction shooter but a point to extract from the safety, and in Arc Raidersyou have many options to go from – if you can reach them in time. Each map you venture into has a limited number of extraction locations, and once they're gone, and you're out of time, you're dead.
Whenever you start a raid, your first priority is to locate the extraction points and find the best route to them while scavenging. You might just die trying to get to them, or extracting, but that's the risk the Raiders take every time they surface.
On every map you play, you will load at one of several random pointsand you will have 30 minutes to do what you need to before you need extract at one of several predetermined extraction pointsdenoted on the map by either a down arrow, a train carriage or a fan symbol.
Extraction points appear as elevators, train stations or air shaftsdepending on the map and when you arrive you have to do it find the console that calls the extraction point to you.
- Elevators appear at the dam and spaceportand the activation the console is right outside the elevator.
- Train stations appear in The Buried City. Each one has multiple inputs leading to the same station, and the activation the console is underground at the stationagainst gated train tracks.
- Air Shafts appear at The Blue Gateand the activation the bracket is just outside the shaft.
For some extraction points, like the train station, you have to fight your way into before activating the computer, but in return, there are slightly less likely to have any ARC enemies nearby that comes to you.
When you reach a withdrawal point and activate the console who governs it, a warning sound is playedand everyone nearby ARC enemies or other players will be alerted to the impending extraction.
It takes about 15 seconds for the extraction point to open before you can enter and use the secondary console to the head back to Speranza earlyor you can wait for your group or nearby players to join you, and it will leaves automatically in 2 minutes.
If one person enters the activated extraction point, the two-minute countdown activates, leaving you little time to loot any nearby ARC machines or bodies before you go.
As long as a person at the withdrawal point using that computereveryone inside will be be able to extract safelyso you no need to worry about having too many people and not enough computers.
In addition to the usual extraction points, you can also extract via Raider Hatches. These extraction points have no time limit on their availability and doesn't require you to wait and do them safer than the othersbut they requires a Raider Hatch Key to be unlocked every time.
Raider Hatch Keys can either be obtained as a quest rewardsuch as from Hatch Repair, or bought for 9000 credits from Shani's trade up to a limit of one every 24 real hoursbut they require you to be level 12 to buy them.
Raider Hatch Keys are incredibly practical to have in your Safe Pocket so you always have a safer exit from the map and you won't lose them if you get killed.
All you need to do with Raider Hatches is find one on the map while you have key in your inventoryapproach bracket attached to the door of the hatch, and interact with it to unlock it.
The the hatch opensand you can return to Speranza immediately with all your goods intact and without having to wait a few seconds for the extraction point doors to close.
Because both ARC and enemy players will likely try to kill you while extracting, find what shelter you can and wait there, especially if you're driving solo.
You can use rock formations or cars in outdoor locationsas by the pond, chairs and the curved walls if you are mena the train stationand nearby debris at the air shaft you will find at The Blue Gate.
Even if you don't mind fighting or need ARC material, it's a great way to find out about the scene and get an idea of potential enemies, emote on approaching player to let them know you're willing to extract together without a fight, or brace yourself for any approaching machines in a safer way.
Take out nearby ARC enemies beforehand
The warning sound played every time an extraction point is opened has one quite a large selectionand one group of ARC enemies can take out even experienced players if you are unlucky or too many of the more powerful ones appear.
Try to clear out any enemies near the extraction site earlyespecially any of the small ones, more mobile flying machines such as wasps and hornetsand do it while you have some protection.
Not only will do this makes it safer to wait for recoveryit's coming too reduce the number of enemies attracted by the warningbecause you have already taken out the closest ones.
The only downside is that this can making it easier for an enemy Raider to kill you if you take too much damage, but it's always a riskand you can try to express or talk your way out of a fight if anyone shows up to the point.
Wait for someone else to enter first
Since that takes about 30 to 45 seconds total to get into an extraction point, use the computer inside and have the doors close if someone walks right in, you do have time to run in before it closes.
You can hide somewhere nearby with the flashlight offsuch as behind the station benches if you are at one of the train stations, wait until it is about to leave to see if anyone has entered, then run in before the doors close to avoid quarrels.
Even if they turn around and knock you downit still is possible to extract and get all your items as usual, as long as you are not ready before loading into Speranza.
This too works if you are already downas you can crawl into the extraction point if you are close enough and has not bled out.
Do so gives you the Not Over Til It's Over achievement/trophyand yours chances of success with this method is increased with the impaired but determined and crawl before you walk.
