How to get gold bars in Red Dead Online
The most famous way to get gold bars RDO is by assignment; story missions, bounty missions, and alien missions all reward gold bars. But the reward is based on how long the mission takes, which means that completing missions is not the best way to get gold bars quickly in RDO. Players will have much more luck with the following methods:
Daily challenges and role challenges
When factoring in multipliers, daily challenges and role challenges give the most gold bars per hour. Players who complete all of the daily challenges each week will be rewarded with more gold nuggets in consecutive weeks. Eventually, the multiplier will reward three times the base amount of gold nuggets. The same goes for role challenges.
Those committed to earning as much gold as possible will want to grind every role in the game. That way, there are always plenty of challenges to complete every day. On average, it will take about an hour to two hours a week to complete all the challenges. For about six gold, that's not a bad return on investment.
Complete Bounties and Awards
Bounties are about as fruitful as quests. However, if people can keep their bounty quests around the nine minute mark, they will earn 1.6 gold/hour. To fill the time, players can hunt, complete challenges and collect rewards. Daily challenges are the most effective, but by filling the time bounties are actually not that bad.
The only other method to get gold quickly is to finish the various price targets RDO. Focusing solely on these is not a good way to spend time. However, it may be a good idea to browse through the awards to get an idea of what tasks need to be completed. Players can grind these awards while waiting for the nine-minute timer during a bounty.
