Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life had eight great marriage candidates to choose from, consisting of the seven candidates from the original games with the addition of metal worker artist Gordy. They are all wonderful in their own unique way, each supporting their own share of fans.
However, fans of the series can't help but want more. The people of the Forgotten Valley are interesting and lovable, to the point where we can't help but wish we could marry them too. Unfortunately, Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life had other plans for our romantic endeavours. Still, we can't help but dream of what it would be like if these characters also accepted our blue feather.

Help him find a new home in the Forgotten Valley
Pui is a nature-loving soul who tends to wander in the forest north of the Forgotten Valley. Sometimes he will settle on the bridge between the Lei-Over Inn and Vesta's Farm and ask if you have any extra money you can offer him, up to 100G at a time, so he can return to his home on Coco Island. Unfortunately, he never gets the chance to leave the valley, although you will get the blessed sickle if you donate enough instead.
Pui's heart event would make the free spirit learn to appreciate nature better with him, even though he still missed his old home. If he accepted our blue feather and came to live with us on our farm, we are sure he would grow to love his new home as much as he did Coco Island. He would likely influence our child to become a farmer based on his love of nature, but we can also see his singing convincing our child to take up music instead.

Sometimes love is the best medicine
Although Baddoch doesn't move into town properly until Chapter 2, he does visit the Forgotten Valley from time to time during Chapter 1. He can seem dismissive and a little scary, but the Doctor means well and just wants the people of the Forgotten Valley to be happy and healthy .
He doesn't seem like the type that would be easy to romance due to not always being in the valley, but an update might make him visit more often. His cardiac events may cause the doctor to worry that our farmer may be working too hard and learning to work at a reasonable pace. Once the doctor started a family of his own with us, he would likely convince our child to focus on academics, maybe even convince our child to become a doctor when they grow up as well.
6 Van
Money can't buy love
Van only visits the Forgotten Valley twice a month – the third and the eighth – making him a difficult candidate to court if he was available. If we could romanize the traveling salesman, maybe he could stay in town and leave early to travel, and come back late at night. It would give our farmer more chances to give Van gifts of food and win his heart through his stomach.
It would be funny if his confession scene originally made Van think we were trying to sell him the blue feather instead of offering it as a token of our affection. It's a little harder to imagine what Van might convince our child to become when they grow up. The three most likely options seem to be art, academics and music. Then again, Van sells upgraded farm equipment, so maybe he can help us get our kid interested in ranching or farming instead.
5 Vesta
All farmers deserve love
Of the three farmers who live on the farm on the east side of town, Vesta is the only one who cannot romance. She has a big heart and loves puns. She protects Cecilia and her brother Matthew, and she always does her best to look out for them. Her burly appearance also makes her completely different from any bachelor that the series has offered us so far.
Vesta's heart scenes could have her giving our farmer tips on how to improve, slowly becoming more relaxed and less work-oriented. She might be surprised if we offered her a blue feather, instead of her more conventionally attractive loved ones, but we would gladly take this farmer as our bride. She would be a wonderful, caring mother who would help our child get interested in ranching or farming, just like their dear old mother.
4 Daryl
Can love be proven scientifically?
Daryl really is an oddball. His house is a messy mess full of ongoing scientific experiments without a bed in sight. He is no less strange outside his house, where he will look at your animals and even your child wondering if they can be used for his experiments. Despite his eccentricities—or perhaps because of them—many wish we could give this scientist a blue feather to study.
Heart events with Daryl would likely be similar to the kind of cutscenes he's already in: trying to do science experiments that end up going horribly wrong, albeit with a more romantic twist. In the end, your farmer would decide to take the final step and give Daryl the blue feather. This would end one experiment and begin another: starting a family. Daryl would definitely try to influence his child to follow in his academic footsteps and do his own experiments.
3 Carter
Dig into his heart
While you can't romance Carter in this version of A Wonderful Life, you can technically marry him – or rather his descendant – in Harvest Moon DS Cute, leading many fans to hope that he can be wooed in the Switch- the game. Unfortunately, the dedicated archaeologist is married to one thing: his job.
Had Carter given your heart a chance, his heart events could have been much like they were in DS Cute: bonding over your time at the dig site. In the end, your farmer would give him something better than any artifact he could ever dig up: a blue feather, which became his mate at the end of Chapter 1. No doubt his children would take an interest in academics and watch their father eagerly talk about his work. However, he may be disappointed if his child takes an interest in another subject.
2 Gavin
The gentle bartender
Gavin's descendant was also romanticized in DS Cute, though Story of Seasons didn't have the same courtesy. The soft-spoken bartender may be an older gentleman, but some find charm in that. Gavin is also a guitarist and gentle by nature. You can see his guitar in the back room of the Bluebird Cafe.
His events of the heart can make you bond over repeated visits to the cafe, trying his drink mixes and listening to what Gavin is thinking. Other times he could play his guitar for you, maybe even write you a song, much like Gustafa did. Naturally, his children would be interested in music. We could also see his children love art. He would be a gentle, loving parent and do his best, even if he worries about being older than you, his dear partner.
1 Flora
Her love is a priceless artifact
Flora was one of the many romanceable bachelorettes in Harvest Moon DS and has been a fan favorite ever since. Many were hoping we'd be able to woo this roomy archaeologist when the remake came out, but alas, the harvest goddess had other plans for us. Flora always seems to be in her own world and takes things at her own pace, but she is passionate about what she is interested in. We just wish it included us.
Her heart events can include our farmer walking Flora in various places in the valley and getting into all sorts of trouble. Fortunately, we would be there to rescue her and offer our help as much as we could. Since Flora is so absent, her children could honestly pursue any interest, although Flora naturally hopes for an academic child. They don't have to become an archaeologist like her. They just need to study well so they can live happily, although she would support them no matter what they choose.
