The latest expansion for Pokemon TCG Is Celestial Guardians, and it has a similar size as that for Space-Time Smackdown, with the core set with 155 new cards and then a variety of others between Illustration Rares, Shiny Critters and more. There are already several powerful combinations that can be achieved with Celestial Guardians cards, such as moving mental energy around with giratina ex and lunala ex in Pokemon TCGNew meta, but more good cards are still waiting to be discovered for their real potential. One of them can be an unassuming rare card (three-diamond's rarity) that may be about to completely stop meta tires in its tracks.
So far is one of the most common and yet effective strategies in Pokemon TCG was to use Giratina ex in combination with Darkrai ex and possibly a “wall” Pokemon card like Druddigon from Mythical Island. This is because both Giratina ex and Darkrai ex can do wonders when used from the bench, since the former generates their own energy supply, maybe even in turn, and the latter handles damage when an energy is attached to it. But Celestial Guardians can finally give fans who did not like this meta a little break, and that is because of one of the new Orikorio forms.

A Pokemon TCG Pocket Celestial Guardians -cards are already broken
Pokemon TCG Pocket can introduce a card that is already broken from Get-Go with Celestial Guardians, which gives meta tires.
Oricorio in Pokemon Games canonically has four different forms that determine its types, attacks and even appearance, and the same goes for the mobile game. Pokemon TCGThe Celestial Guardians short list contains many good choices to fight methane until the brilliant joy, but Oriocorio's version of the electric type, called POM-Pom style, is one of the most interesting. It has 70 hp, it is weak to fight, it has a 2-energy attack for 50 damage, and it comes with the protection capacity, which prevents all damage to be made on this card through attacks from opposing pokemon.
This may seem like an overwhelming card at first, and it does not even stop the damage handled by Darkrai exs Nightmare -Aaura -ability when stacking energy, but the essence of Darkrai Ex/Giratina ex -tires is to stop the opponent and slowly defeat his pokemon with passive injury or giratin's attack. While Oricorio is susceptible to damage from Nightmare Aura, the typical Darkrai ex and Giratina ex deck only run these two critters and drudigon, with the latter that could not attack. As such, Oricorio would be completely immune to the attacks from both Darkrai and Giratina, which is a great counter for these tires.
Oricorio can also counteract Articuno ex completely because they only use two Articuno ex -cards and 18 coach cards, which means that Oricorio can never take damage.
Why Pokemon TCG Pocket -Player not to sleep on Orricorio
Also given that the most competitive tires in Pokemon TCG Run at least one or two copies of ex-cards, POM-Pom-style orricorio can be a large anti-meta call in many tires, not just to shield Darkrai ex and giratina ex. For example, the new Decidueye ex has an attack that handles 100 damage to a Pokémon that already has damage to it, so Oricorio's protection makes it immune to this type of attack even if it is not aimed at the active location.
Replacement of Orricorio in at the right time can prevent the opponent from attacking with their Pokemon TCG Ex-cards, because these attacks would have no effect, and neither force them to skip the attack for the turn nor possibly retreat to another non-ex-pokemon. As such, Oricorio's electric version can really stop certain games or even strategies, largely, which can do for an interesting tire building choice even for non-electrical tires and turn it into a new drudigon of variety. It remains to be seen how the new set will change meta, but Oricorio is a unique card that should give a certain interest in new defensive mechanics.
