Acquiring the breathing apparatus is crucial to exploring every nook and cranny of the game, such as recovering more ancient relics in the “Riddles of the Ancients” quest. Of course like the lighter and the camera in it Indiana Jones and the Great Circlethe respirator will not automatically appear in your inventory, and there are a few things to do first to get it, aside from progressing in the main story.
How to get the breathing device in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
To get the breathing apparatus in Indiana Jones and the Great Circlealso known as Rebreatheryou have to wait until you reach Sukhothai during the main quest called 'The Blessed Pearl'. After several cutscenes, you can set off to explore more of Sukhothai by boat in “The Blessed Pearl”. But you'll also have some preparation to do before you can grab the respirator.
Breathing Device Location (Tongdang's Hut Location)
To get the Breathing Apparatus, you need to buy it from a Sukhothai vendor called Tongdang. You have to travel by boat to reach Tongdang's Hutsituated against center of the Sudokhai mapin the picture above. Although Tongdong wants to offer you a reasonable price for Rebreather on the tableit does not come cheap, as it is a rare piece of kit. You have to shell out a lot 798 baht to buy it, the currency used in the Sukhothai region. You likely won't have enough money at this point in the game, so you'll probably be wondering how to get enough money together.
How to get money for the breathing device (How to steal Voss's gold)
After talking to Tongdang about the breathing apparatus for the first time, you immediately unlock a quest called Voss' Gold Stash. If you don't have enough money to buy the Rebreather, it's important to complete this quest to get enough money to buy it. Go to northeast corner of the Sukhothai map by boat and sneak past the guards inside Voss camp until you reach first floor of the main building.
One of the safest and fastest ways there can be to sneak through opening with white color is by traveling under the wooden platform from the east of the area near the second cat paintingbut you can also approach the camp from almost any direction if you're careful to avoid the guards.
If you continue to travel under the platform past the opening in the floor with white paintthere is also one secret room containing one Asia's Lost Artifact to grasp, the Ganesha statue.
Voss's camp is well guarded, so the mission will be much easier after getting hold of Royal Army Disguise on the table just outside the main building, like the picture above. After equipping the disguise, you can climb the outer stairs of the main building and enter the building through the side window without any problems.
Wearing the Royal Army Disguise allows you to stroll past most of the guards unnoticed until you reach the room with Voss's gold, which contains a captain you must fight. Take him out and use Sukhothai security code 5484 to open the safe and steal four gold bars inside worth 500 baht each. Although you should have more than enough money with just the gold, there is also one a lot of cash (100 baht) on the table to swipe, a locked room and a chest to open with more goodies.

Return to Tongdang's Hut to buy the breathing apparatus with the money from the gold you stole from Voss, which you find on the table in front of Tongdang.
