The PlayStation Network outage may have been related to the Amazon Web Services outage in the early hours of July 24. However, Amazon has confirmed that all AWS connectivity issues have been resolved, but PSN has still been down for over four hours.
Like most web services, PSN has a tendency to experience outages from time to time. However, this outage comes at a time when digital games on PlayStation are a hot-button issue among fans after Sony announced that production of physical discs for PlayStation games would end in 2028. Combined with the lack of a clear culprit behind this outage after AWS has come back online, PlayStation gamers are worried that this trend could become an increasingly worse problem in the future.

Users are reporting that they are unable to complete purchases on the PS Store or download games from their PlayStation library.
