There's been a lot of positivity all around Assassin's Creed Black Flag resyncwith longtime fans looking forward to returning to the beloved title and newcomers getting an opportunity to check out the game for the first time.
Even though it exists Assassin's Creed Black Flag resync Since it was known long before Ubisoft revealed it, the extent of the changes the game brought to the table was more of a surprise. Not only did the game get a visual upgrade thanks to its move to the Anvil Engine, many of the game's core systems and mechanics have also been overhauled. But the level of work required was likely much higher than many thought.

Knight explained that the codebase and technology used to power the original game was so different from what was used that it could really only be used as a reference. In fact, Knight revealed that the team “could occasionally pull an asset like a placeholder or something to model the new stuff”, but mostly the code was used to see how things worked and then rebuilt to fit the new technology in the Anvil Engine.
“Sometimes we might pull an asset like a placeholder or something to model the new stuff. But mostly we just look into the code to see how things work, to look at the data, to see how certain things worked, to learn some of the secrets. But we actually have to rebuild.”
From the start, Knight explained that many of the overworked features for Assassin's Creed Black Flag resyncincluding stealth, combat, and new narrative content, were always planned from the start, but Ubisoft was unable to reuse or lean on any of the legacy code for the rest of the experience. So there wasn't a sense of wanting to rebuild certain systems to get them up and running with the other parts of the game, but more of a necessity to get them working and working at all.
