Assassin's Creed Hex will be released around June 2027, with a known leaker dropping a handful of new details alongside this date. Ubisoft is currently focusing on the launch of Assassin's Creed Black Flag resyncbut there is some hope in the community that its success will translate well to the next edition i Assassin's Creed Hex. Some fans are hoping that Ubisoft will show more of it as soon as Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, especially with its Witch Hunt Germany setting.
Of course, there are a lot of wants and desires involved in all of this, but it's worth mentioning that Ubisoft's 2026 release line-up is thin by the company's own admission. It would make sense to go ahead and build anticipation and hype for the 2027 releases, and Gamescom itself offers a unique opportunity for Assassin's Creed Hex– not just the familiar background, but the timing after Black flag. Anyway, noted leaker Rogue (which should still be taken with a grain of salt) has published quite a few details that seem to be related to a marketing release of the game.

Leaker Rogue has said so Assassin's Creed Hex aiming for a June 2027 release, but that this could still be changed of course. It is said to be released on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X, with a Standard Edition ($70), Deluxe Edition ($90) and a Collector's Edition ($120). There's also reportedly a pre-order bonus, which includes an extra mission, none of which are particularly unique or surprising to Ubisoft's typical release plans. Where it gets interesting is when Rogue starts talking about the details.

Earlier it was leaked that the main character for Assassin's Creed Hex name is Annika, and the witch trials in Würzburg were the specific historical background. Not only will the fans be in Würzburg, but Rogue also claims that Nuremberg is another key location in the game, which wouldn't be surprising after St. Lawrence Cathedral AC Hex teaser in Assassin's Creed Black Flag resync. Between these is a large-scale forest with several smaller villages, with Rogue describing the game as a large-scale, yet linear game. Rogue also claims to parkour by Assassin's Creed Hex is more akin to the older games, but “more advanced than ever before,” which is particularly exciting.
Rogue also reiterates leaks that Assassin's Creed Hex is an incredibly dark game, which is not surprising given the historical background, but that the game is also graphically better than AC Shadows. AC Shadows' weather technology also created a foggy atmosphere for unique takedowns and assassinations. It has previously been reported Assassin's Creed Hex really removed magic from the game, but that “magic” is still involved, perhaps referring to an Isu artifact. And finally they mention the fear system from Assassin's Creed Syndicate's Jack the Ripper DLC is back and improved, causing NPCs to panic, misfire weapons, flee zones, and/or ostracize outsiders like Annika.
All in all, it's hard to say for sure which, if any, of these rumors have substance, but people are paying attention to Rogue for some reason. If Assassin's Creed Hex is at Gamescom 2026, then it's the perfect place to put some witchy rumors to rest.
