Call of Duty: Black Ops 2The PS5 port is available right now, bringing what many consider the pinnacle of the franchise's multiplayer modes to modern PlayStation consoles. Sure, this BO2 port is missing a couple of features like the player counter, theater mode and League Play, although everything else is present in this version. This means players have already flocked to powerful weapons like the Skorpion EVO, MSMC and AN-94, although meta-weapons aren't the only way to gain an edge over the competition. For those looking to dominate their lobbies, the PlayStation 5's Enthusiast Controllers can make a world of difference.
While not everyone has the budget for a $150 controller these days, those who can should definitely consider pairing the Edge with Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. This controller offers some key advantages over the base DualSense that really shine in this 2012 classic, and it's especially useful given how much of the competition won't have the DualSense Edge to lean on. Since these new ports combine the PS4 and PS5 player bases into a single community, anyone stuck on the PS4 will have no chance of keeping up with anyone using the DualSense Edge to its full potential.
DualSense Edge Adaptive Triggers + FAL OSW = Win
Although the list of Black Ops 2s best guns are big, those with a fast trigger finger always cited the FAL as the best of the best, and it's hard to argue against that when you see the pros in action. But not everyone can focus on rapidly firing their gun while doing everything else necessary to succeed Codwhich led many to embrace alternatives such as the four-round burst M8A1 instead. Fortunately, with the DualSense Edge, it's easy to access the scariest version of the FAL.

One of the DualSense Edge's most useful features is the ability to adjust its adaptive triggers. Sure, PlayStation games making different weapons feel more immersive by adjusting how hard players need to hold down the trigger is an incredible feature in casual multiplayer and single-player games, but those milliseconds of extra pull can make a world of difference in a competitive scenario. Those who care about beefing up their K/D will then appreciate being able to do so so that their triggers barely need to be pressed to fire, turning semi-automatic weapons into rapid-fire machines.
Black Ops 2's DualSense Edge Benefits Don't stop at the FAL
In addition to unlocking the full potential of an already powerful weapon, the DualSense Edge gives players two back buttons to customize. Then Black Ops 2the movement is considerably slower — not quite as sluggish as BO1but still shockingly less enjoyable than the omni-movement that today's games have — using the movement technology that exists is a must. Jumpshotting is not recommended due to the lag in movement after a jump, but dropshotting? It's completely doable and is something players can do without moving their hands at all for as long as crouching on one of their back buttons. As for the second button, a panic knife option wouldn't be a bad idea.

Clever use of the DualSense Edge's extra buttons and adaptive triggers are two key advantages, but there's one final benefit of the controller that once again shines in Black Ops 2: custom game profiles. Players can adjust their target kill zones to ensure they are perfect for their playstyle in this particular era Call of Dutyallowing them to snap between targets and shoot them down with ease. With how much impact the DualSense Edge can have on Black Ops 2 multiplayer games, recommending its use couldn't be easy enough – assuming the steep price tag won't be a dealbreaker.
