How to find Realmwalkers and complete Crossing the Threshold in Diablo 4 Season 14

To complete Across the Threshold in Season 14, players must find and kill a Realmwalker. Realmwalkers can spawn after sealing Surging Ruptures in Helltides, but the most reliable option is to complete a Colossal Rupture event, as that guarantees a Realmwalker spawn.

Players who just want to finish the mission as quickly as possible should therefore prioritize Colossal Ruptures. While Surging Ruptures are worth doing when running Helltides, the randomness of their Realmwalker spawns can delay the completion of Across the Threshold.

Swelling Ruptures may occur in lieu of local events in active Helltide zones. To find one, explore the current Helltide region until you find the icon pictured above, then complete the event with Mastery for a chance to create a Realmwalker.

Notably, surging Ruptures are different from the smaller Ruptures more common in Helltides. While players should feel free to seal the minor crimes for extra enemies and rewards, they cannot spawn Realmwalkers and will not help complete Across the Threshold.

Colossal crimes

A colossal rift appears in the Fields of Desecration, the World Boss arena southeast of Zarbinzet, every 20 minutes. An event icon appears on the map when the event is about to start, and completing the event guarantees a Realmwalker spawn.

What happens after you kill a Realmwalker?

After defeating a Realmwalker, another portal The death toll is opened. Players will need to enter this seasonal mini-dungeon as part of the Across the Threshold quest, but this should not be their last visit to the Deathtoll Chamber.

The Deathtoll Chamber is actually the best way to earn Superior Lair Keys, which are used to unlock the Corrupted Reaper's Hoard. For the uninitiated, the Corrupted Reaper is the Season 14 Lair Boss, and players will fight it as they progress through the season's missions.

After that, players can repeatedly fight the Corrupted Reaper via the Pandemonium Threshold in Zarbinzet. The Corrupted Reaper is the best source for Mythic Uniques and Pandemonium Fragments, a Mythic Unique upgrade currency.
