Ringing nail

  • Good Role: Light Bulb + Burning Ambition

This Black Armory Auto Rifle works in perfect harmony with Destiny 2 Solar builds thanks to now having both Incandescent and Burning Ambition. These two perks are fan favorites for a reason: they both apply Scorch, and if your build is good enough, they can even trigger Ignitions. If you'd rather have an auto rifle that can fill your screen with explosions, bring a Ringing Nail roll Light bulb and Firefly instead.

You can get the Ringing Nail by completing Arena Ops missions in Destiny 2. Alternatively, you can use Vanguard Ciphers to buy some from Zavala at the Tower.

The Giver's Blessing

  • Good Role: Rewind Rounds + Kinetic Shakes

Giver's Blessing drops from Kepler, the main destination for Edge of Fate expansion. It's a Rapid-Fire Frame Auto Rifle that fires at a steady 720 rpm, and it can drop with the very powerful Rewind Rounds and Kinetic Tremors combo. These perks allow you to deal tons of damage with Giver's Blessing for long periods of time thanks to Rewind Rounds constantly refilling your magazine, which then allows for additional, uninterrupted Kinetic Tremors procs.

Unfortunately, the other perks in the Giver's Blessings perk pool aren't as great as Rewind Rounds/Kinetic Tremors, so you can end up with a lot of duds before you can get one of these rifles that has the perfect perk combo.

Chroma Rush

  • Good Role: Sustain + Kinetic Shakes/Rampage

Chroma Rush is an alternative to Giver's Blessing, and is more suitable for clearing large groups of enemies with red fields with Sustain + Rampage benefit combo. Of course, Kinetic Tremors is still good on Chroma Rush, but it won't be as good on single target damage as Giver's Blessing because it doesn't have Rewind Rounds.

Overall, the Chroma Rush is a solid gun, and it deserves to be recognized as one of the best auto rifles in Destiny 2 simply because of how good it is as an add-clearing ball hose.

The riposte

  • Good Role: Repulsor Brace + Destabilizing rounds

Despite being a weapon from the Competitive Crucible roster, Riposte is surprisingly good in PvE as well, mainly because it can roll with Repulsor Brace and destabilizing rounds. This perk combo is a staple for Void builds Destiny 2, and the fact that it fires at 720 RPM makes it a better feeling Auto Rifle than other guns that can roll this perk combo (subjectively, of course).

What makes the Riposten unique among Legendary Auto Rifles is that it is actually a lightweight frame weapon, meaning you will move faster while you have the Riposten equipped. This gives you a significant advantage in PvP, but not so much in PvE.

No doubt

  • Good Role: Physics/strategist + light bulb

No Hesitation is an auto rifle with a support frame, meaning it can damage enemies and entire allies by shooting at them. What makes this gun so great is the sheer number of top perks it can drop with, including:

  • Physical grants restoration to you and your target when you heal allies with this gun
  • Strategist is great for reducing downtime on your class ability
  • Glowing lets you spread Scorch while doing good AoE damage on death
  • Attrition Orbs creates Orbs of Power when you damage enemies with this weapon
  • Chaos reshaped increases weapon damage and heals you periodically

Get one without a doubt with any combination of these benefits, and it won't let you down.

VS Pyroelectric propellant

The pyroelectric propellant is one of the potential drops from the Vesper's Host dungeon Destiny 2. What makes this gun outstanding is Rewind rounds and offensive feedback in its third and fourth column pools, respectively. Think of this as Giver's Blessing, but with Arc subclass synergy and stronger area damage potential.

Every fourth column perk on the pyroelectric propellant increases the gun's damage in some form, while its third column perk gives the gun options good for either PvE or PvP. Consider getting a pyroelectric propellant with these rolls:

  • Strategist + Kill Clip (works best with Hunters)

  • Zen Moment + Target Lock (for PvP)

  • Attrition Orbs + Onslaught (for turbo Orb generation)
