Each Yokai of the Five Elders, ranked by strength

The five elders, also known as Gorosei, are some of the strongest individuals we have seen One Pieceand they have played a significant role in the Final Saga thus far. While they've been hidden in the shadows over the years, Final Saga has brought them out at their best. In the Egghead arc, we got a good look at the powers and abilities of the Five Elders, and it's safe to say that they are some of the most dangerous individuals to have existed in the One Piece world.

The Five Elders were revealed to have the power of various Yokai and other mythological creatures. At this point, it is unclear if these abilities are derived from the Devil Fruits or if they are the result of the gift from Nerona Imu in the world of One Piece. Although all of them are incredibly powerful, some creatures are stronger than others.

Sand worm

• User: Saint Shepherd Ju Peter

The sandworm is a powerful mythological creature found in many fictions. This is an incredibly powerful creature that Saint Shepherd Ju Peter can transform into at will. The sandworm is an absolutely huge creature with what appears to be a scar on its head. The creature has the power to burrow and attack enemies from below with incredible speed. In the Egghead arc, Ju Peter was seen using the power of the sandworm to dig and then attack Luffy to consume him.

After all, Peter also managed to swallow Luffy, and if it hadn't been for the giants, Luffy might have been dead. He also has great contraction power, which can tear down the defense of some powerhouses. The powers of this creature have not been fully explored yet. As is the case with each individual member of the Five Elders, Shepherd Ju Peter also has a unique ability, but unfortunately we likely won't get to see it unless Oda draws the battles on another island in more detail.

Gyuki

• User: Saint Jaygarcia Saturn

Saint Saturn is the Gorosei fans have seen the most of so far in history. He was first seen arriving in Egghead with the Marines, and he harnessed the power of his Yokai right from the start. Saint Saturn can transform into Gyuki. This creature has the upper body of an ox and the lower body of a spider. Saint Saturn has several powerful abilities. First, Saturn can use the power to inflict invisible damage on his enemies. Furthermore, he can even pin down his enemies and prevent them from moving using this power, and this includes even strong enemies like Yonko Commanders.

Additionally, Saturn has a powerful ability to coat himself with poison and attack others with this poison that can kill in a single shot. If that wasn't enough, Saturn also has an incredible regeneration speed, but this regeneration is exercised by all the members of the Elders as well. Clearly, Saturn had tremendous strength; however, his showing against Luffy was certainly not the best.

Itsumade

Itsumade is a giant mythological bird with what appears to be a snake body, with giant wings that have feathers as tough as steel, and a head that appears to be a mixture of a human and a bird. The teeth of this gigantic bird are also incredibly sharp, and all things considered, the Itsumade is an absolutely monstrous creature.

We haven't seen much of this creature in One Piece so far. However, Itsumade was clearly able to break through the Labophase barrier with ease. This suggests that it had enough speed and strength to tear through the barrier. It also has the ability to spit a powerful laser-like fire from its mouth. It burns everything in its path. The true power of Itsumade has yet to be seen, as fans don't know what unique ability it has up its sleeve. However, it is most certainly one of the most powerful Yokai transformations of all.

Bakotsu

• User: Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro

Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro is a powerful individual and probably one of the strongest among the Five Elders. He had quite a few incredible abilities up his sleeve, and, as seen in Egghead, he can transform into Bakotsu, which is a horse-like figure from Hell. This skeleton horse is absolutely enormous in size and incredibly fast at the same time.

Nusjuro can also transform into his hybrid form, just like any other Elder, and he transforms into a centaur-like creature when he takes this form. With his sword in one hand, Nusjuro was able to cut through over 25 Mark 3 pacifists in an instant. He can also summon the cold of the underworld, which is an ability he shares with Brook. Of course, Bakotsu Yokai also has many other abilities that we haven't seen yet. But so far, the speed of this creature is unmatched. In addition, the cold that it attacks with renders his opponents completely helpless, and it is indeed a very terrifying power.

Fengxi/Houki

• User: Saint Topman Warcury

Fengxi, also known as Houki, is a monstrous creature in Chinese mythology that looks like a massive wild boar. Houki is known to have tremendous physical strength, which is likely the highest among the Five Elders. Meanwhile, Houki also appears to have an impenetrable hide, preventing it from taking serious damage. In Egghead, Houki was able to resist Luffy's Red Roc, the same technique that sent Kaido crashing to the floor, causing him to bleed. Houki can also use fire to a certain degree, making it strong enough to hurt even the likes of Luffy in Gear 3.

Houki can also turn his tusks into blades and attack enemies with them. These attacks are deadly enough to damage even powerful Yonko-level opponents. In addition to that, Warcury also had the ability to enhance his Conqueror's Haki using the power of this Yokai. This was seen used against Luffy, and it completely ripped his clothes apart and blew away everyone in the surrounding area. In fact, the power of his Conqueror's Haki roar was such that it even reached marine ships, knocking out several members in the process.
