There are three endings you can achieve in The Adventures of Elliot. The bad and good endings are surprisingly missable if you proceed too far in the true ending extra quest. Here’s how to get all the endings in The Adventures of Elliot in the same save file without starting another playthrough.

How To Get The Bad Ending In The Adventures Of Elliot
To get the bad ending in The Adventures of Elliot, defeat the Sorcerer after getting the Tracing Needle without preparing anything or completing extra quests. Simply head toward the final boss.
After defeating Salathmadra and obtaining the Tracing Needle, trigger the cutscene next to the cursed princess in the Prayer Room and head to the Northern Tower. As you head down, Elliot must defeat four bosses in a testing zone to unlock the door for the final boss.
If you don’t want to repeat these fights for the other endings, make sure to use a guidepost and save here to reload this save file for the next ending.
Elliot will face the Sorcerer, an enraged Myu, and defeat it. However, this will not remove the curse completely, as the princess will stay in a coma. This leaves the kingdom vulnerable to enemy attacks.
In the end, Elliot sets out on a journey with Faie to try and find a cure for the princess. The final scene is a distant mysterious voice that seems to encourage them to not give up and find a cure.
How To Get The Good Ending In The Adventures Of Elliot
To get the good ending in The Adventures of Elliot, complete the following steps after reloading the previous save:
- Go to the Water Ruins and get the Leytstaf Sword.
- Locate all three sages and obtain the Mystic Seal.
- Seal the Beast of Enmity.
Make sure to save using a guidepost after obtaining the items before facing the boss to continue from there for the true ending later on.
With the Leytstaf Sword in hand and the knowledge of the Mystic Seal attack, go to the Northern Tower and initiate a fight with the Beast of Enmity. Once the beast’s health is low, charge the sword all the way to the Mystic Seal attack until ice appears around Elliot and prepare to finish the fight. Unleash the attack at the boss to seal it forever.
Elliot expresses uneasiness that maybe he could’ve done something more before heading back to the kingdom. The princess is cured, and she asks Elliot to go around town with her to speak with the villagers. Since everything is solved, Elliot promises Faie to find a way for everyone to see her, and the mysterious distant voice insists there is still a way to save everyone.
Leytstaf Sword Location
If you have previously explored the Water Ruins to get the diving manual in The Adventures of Elliot, an NPC reveals some walls have crumbled in the ruins after you complete the events in Dragonpillar at the Age of Budding.
Travel to the Age of Reconstruction and go to the lower level to use the stairs. In one of the western rooms, you will find the key to the blue door. Elliot had to dive between submerged rooms to reach anything. Open the red chest to get the Leytstaf Sword.
It’s a powerful weapon that grants Elliot a revival once every guidepost visits. It’s also used to remove the strange seals in some caves.

Mystic Seal Location
To gain knowledge about the Mystic Seal, you need to speak with Lyudmila at the Hitoyori village in the Age of Budding. Complete the quest until she reveals what she knows about the sages and gives a strange bell to reveal their true nature, as they disguise themselves as cats.
A great way to locate each sage throughout the ages is speaking with the Ailurophilic Traveler. He will point out to you where the special cats are located on each map.
First Sage Location
While in the Age of Budding, head to the giant tree located to the east. Explore the ruins to eventually find the first sage. Take one part of the Mystic Seal and a key, as you need them later.
Second Sage Location
Travel to the Age of Reconstruction and go to the village to trigger a cutscene. Help the people protect the village by defeating hordes of enemies. After the successful battle, go to Mount Phoenix and speak with the next sage.
Take another key as well as the second part of the Mystic Seal. Now you are ready for the final sage.
Third Sage Location
Help the researchers in the Age of Magic to defeat the enemies and then start looking for the cat.
In the desert inside some ruins located southwest, use the two sage keys to open the door and explore inside. Take your time to find the red key and get ready to fight the boss. Once Maxim Guardis is defeated, speak with the third and final sage. He asks you to get the Leytstaf Sword to perform the Mystic Seal, but you should have it at this point.
Take the last part of the Mystic Seal book and defeat the enemy summoned by the sage to practice the special attack.
How To Get The True Ending In The Adventures Of Elliot
Prepare yourself, because the true ending in The Adventures of Elliot requires many steps:
- Get the Leystaf Sword.
- Acquire the Mystic Seal from the three sages.
- Complete the story events for all ages.
- Grab and equip Heuria’s locket, the Amber Pendant.
- Face the Beast of Enmity.
- Collect cats. Yes, you need cats.
- Defeat Demise the Destroyer.
Reload to the save where you already have the sword and Mystic Seal to reach the true ending faster.

Complete Age Of Budding Events
Besides the Leytstaf and Mystic Seal, some unfinished business concerning Mao and her family in all ages must be completed for the true ending. In the Age of Budding, go to Lyudmila house to trigger the quest. Complete it by defeating a boss and getting the necessary materials for Lyudmila to make a pendant for Mao.
In the end, there are some problems in the village as some people, like the Chief, don’t want anything to do with the Myu people. A fire accident occurs and Lyudmila dies, leaving the pendant for her daughter as a birthday present.
Complete Age Of Magic Events
Go to the Age of Magic where the pregnant Mao and Carter usually are. However, there is no one there but the pendant. Travel to the Northern Tower and speak with the researchers until one admits they lost their basement key in the lab.
Grab the key and go to the lower floor to find an imprisoned Mao. She urges Elliot to save her family, as Carter and Lawei were taken by the researchers as hostages.
While heading out, speak with one of the researchers near the entrance to find out their location. Go to the marked spot and save Mao’s family. Escort Carter and Lawei to the gate of time, where they will wait for Mao.
Sadly, the pendant was taken by the researcher, and they tricked Mao by saying everyone had died, causing her to rage and attack humans.
Complete Age Of Reconstruction Events
Go to the Age of Reconstruction to the abandoned house to find a passed out Mao.
Take her to the village and search for all the items that the doctor requested to make medicine. After a while, travel to another age and come back to find Mao awak as she runs away from the village.
Age Of Safekeeping And Heuria’s Pendant
Finally, in the Age of Safekeeping, Elliot discovers his dad is actually alive and has been in a coma for 20 years. After finishing all necessary dialogue, go to Heuria’s room and take the Amber Pendant. Don’t forget to equip it before facing the boss.
Face The Beast Of Enmity
Once everything is prepared, start the fight with the Beast of Enmity. Do not attack the boss, only shield against the incoming attacks while aiming for a perfect guard to trigger a memory from the equipped pendant. Do it three times to make Mao wake up as she realizes her husband, Carter, and her son, Lawei/Elliot, are alive.
The princess will check on the situation, affirming that the curse is broken. Head back to the kingdom where the family of three reunites and the king thanks Elliot for his hard work. While Faie slips away, the mysterious voice speaks again and asks her to join forces with the Myu to defeat Demise once and for all.
Now that Mao has recovered and Faie reveals her mission, the king and the newly freed princess ask Elliot to seek out the Myu sages to ask for help.
Collect Some Cats
Go back to the sages and talk with them to find out more about divine creatures. Here, they reveal that Myu people are still around, but they disguise themselves as cats.
So, Elliot needs to find the felines and invite them to the kingdom to ask for help. The required number is not clear, but I personally collected 30 cats and it was enough. So, no need to gather all 50.
Defeat Demise The Destroyer
Finally, head to Mount Phoenix and trigger the final boss fight with Demise the Destroyer. In the beginning, you use fire attacks while riding the Phoenix. Next, Elliot and Faie must defeat Demise’s second phase when the boss has three health bars. Once the fight is over, enjoy the final cutscene as the protagonist is welcomed back as a hero and everyone can finally see Faie.
It is also revealed that she chose to stay with him in the Age of Safekeeping instead of returning to the future. As it turns out, Demise wipes out humanity in the future, so future Elliot creates Faie from a Phoenix feather and sends her to the past to save the kingdom.
