The old man is easily the biggest threat in Burglin' Gnomes. One minute you're sneaking around looking for prey, and the next he's chasing you through the house. If he catches you, things usually don't end well. He has many creative ways to deal with you and your gnome friends, but there is one way to counter him.
A taser shock will knock the old man out for a short time, but finding it can be difficult, so we've added some of the places where we've managed to find the taser so you can hopefully grab one in your own game and save your run!

How to get a Taser in Burglin' Gnomes

The Taser does not have a fixed spawn location. I found mine in a kitchen drawer, but I've seen other players get it from drawers in different rooms. Because of that, there is no guaranteed spot you can run to at the start of a match.
The best thing is to open all the boxes you can find while exploring the house. It may take some searching, but it is currently the most reliable way to find the taser. You know you've found the right item when you see it. The taser is a small black device with “ZUN” written on it. It also makes an electrical buzzing sound.
To use the Taser, press E while holding it. The moment it connects, it old man falls to the floor and remains unconscious for about 10 seconds. That's usually enough time to get away, finish what you were doing, or retrieve his gun if he happens to be carrying it. I used it when he was charging at me, and it probably saved my run!
You'll also occasionally get a task that asks you to taste a human, rat, or roach. If the high gnome gives you that task, you'll complete it by using the taser on the desired target, and since the human is the biggest and most obvious target, feel free to zap him!
Like the gun, the taser can also be used multiple times, but not forever, so use it sparingly!
