Clay is found randomly while exploring the world in Roemstead. It is one of the most common materials used in a variety of recipes. Some may get confused, as there is no clear way to get clay. Also, even if you find a way to collect some of the material, the next step would be to figure out where to use it. Here is how to get and where to use clay in Romestead.

Cozy games you can play for 20 minutes or 200 hours

Where to find clay in Romestead
Mud is found as an orange puddle in random places in the world. The material is not limited to one biome, as players are more likely to stumble upon a mud pool than apple trees while exploring.
If players have been walking around for a while and haven't found anything, you may have missed it. Open the map and look for any orange shape, as it is the indicator of a mud pool location.
Be sure to look carefully as the mud pools can sometimes be hidden behind a large tree or rock.
Mud pools are usually surrounded by a couple of barrels and a cart. To extract mud from the pool as a material and use it in building or crafting, take a barrel and approach the pool to fill it. After you use it, you get the empty barrel back for another use. However, if a build requires more barrels than you own, you must craft the missing ones in order to build.
