The Last of Us Powerlines Officially Revealed

The last of us “Powerlines” have just been revealed by Cook and Becker. “Powerlines” is a piece of officialdom Last of us part 2 concept artwork depicting Ellie and Joel riding horses against a deep sunset with tall power lines stretching overhead, and fans can purchase the limited edition print now.

Founded in 2011, Cook and Becker specializes in high quality, often limited edition, video game artwork. These pieces are often created by artists who have worked on the games that the art depicts. According to Cook and Becker's website, the company currently works with nearly 50 major video game partners, including major companies such as Capcom, Bandai Namco, Sony, Ubisoft, CD Projekt Red, BioWare, and Blizzard among many others. In addition to art prints, Cook and Becker sell an assortment of books and vinyl, such as the “Art and Music of South of Midnight” set.

Back in 2019, Cook and Becker released “Powerlines”, a piece of concept art taken from the then-unreleased Last of us part 2 made by artist Robby Johnson. Johnson used to be Principal Concept Artist at Naughty Dog but is now Lead Concept Artist at NVIDIA. This high quality art print sold out very quickly back in 2019, with only 100 prints available at the time. But now Last of us fans are given another opportunity to take this art for themselves.

Cook and Becker have just announced an older reissue of The last of us Power lines. This reissue is slightly smaller than the original, measuring 10 inches high by 24 inches wide, excluding the white borders surrounding the print. The print itself will be a Certified Art Giclée print that is hand numbered, embossed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The last of us Powerlines cost $145, and the estimated $25 shipping charge will bring the total to about $170. While there are more pieces available this time around, the edition is still limited to just 150 pieces in total, so fans eager to pick up this piece of art will have to act fast.

This Powerlines piece is part of a larger Cook and Becker Last of us art collection. There are around 17 pieces in this one Last of us part 2 art collection, most of which are similar high-quality, “museum-grade” prints inspired by The last of us part 2s concept art. Another official Last of us video game has not been confirmed by either PlayStation or Naughty Dog, and given that the studio is deep in development on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophetit seems unlikely that fans will see another entry in the popular post-apocalyptic series anytime soon. While it hasn't been confirmed to appear, it's possible that fans could see more from Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet at Sony's State of Play on June 2.
