Persona 4 Revival has been given an age rating in South Korea, suggesting it will be released within the next year. Sega and Atlus announced that a remake of Personas 4called Persona 4 Revivalwas in development during the 2025 Xbox Showcase with a teaser trailer. After the success last time Persona entry, Persona 3 Reload, Revival is a basic remake that will keep the main story beats from the original but include a number of updates, new features and a complete graphical overhaul. Sega has not officially revealed Persona 4 Revivals release window, but its financial reports suggest the company is aiming to launch Personas 4 remake in fiscal year 2027. That means Sega expects it to be released between April 2026 and March 2027. Persona 3 Reload launched in February 2024, so Sega could target a release window similarly early in the year for Revival. The other likely option is that Sega is aiming for a lucrative holiday season launch before the end of 2026.

As discovered by Gematsu, Persona 4 Revival has been given an age rating in South Korea, suggesting that it won't be long before a release date is announced. South Korea is usually one of the first countries to hand out age ratings for upcoming games, with announcements made months before a game is launched. As an example, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 received an age rating from South Korea on August 1, 2024, and the game was released on February 4, 2025, leaving six months between rating and release.

It seems like Persona 4 Revival was submitted to the South Korean Age Rating Board on April 9, 2026 and was rated 15 on April 24, 2026. This does not mean that Revival is nearing its release date, but that's likely an indicator that there will be a new trailer for Persona 4 Revival sooner rather than later. Considering we're approaching this summer's lineup of gaming conventions like Summer Game Fest and Gamescom, fans may not have to wait much longer to see more of the upcoming remake.
It is rumored that a lineup of Personas 4-themed Funko Pops will be released in early 2027. If the Funko Pop drop is real, then it suggests that Persona 4 Revival preparing to be released at this time. All fans have their own Persona 4 Revival wishlist, but there are a number of changes that seem likely given the changes made Persona 3 Reload. Revival will likely add Theurgy and Baton Pass attacks included in the newer ones Persona games, as well as additional activities to take part in during the leisure segments. The story and social links are expected to remain largely the same, but some of the more controversial jokes, especially those about the LGBTQ+ community, could be changed as they were in Reload. Outside of graphical changes, however, no other tweaks to the game have been officially announced.
