5 Shonen Anime Heroes Who'd Destroy The Boys' Homelander (& 5 Who Can't)

Homelander is the most dangerous and overpowered Supe in The boys. Extremely strong, fast and durable, Homelander is unstoppable on the frontier in his home universe. The boys fought for five seasons to gain an edge over him and only managed to defeat him by literally depowering him. At full power, Homelander is an absolute beast – but he's also cocky, uneducated, and nothing compares to the feats the strongest shonen anime characters can pull off.

At its height, Homelander is powerful enough to beat shonen heroes who are mostly ordinary people. Even then, he will have to put in some serious work to make a real profit. Homelander's strength is just overwhelming relative to how weak the average character is The boys. Compared to the most powerful shonen anime characters of all time, Homelander fares worse than he did in The boys' series finale.

Deku is a better superhero than Homelander ever was

Homelander would be fighting himself in bad company if he was ever transported to My Hero Academia universe. The average hero in MHA is much stronger than the average Supe in The boys. Quirks offer heroes greater powers and skills than anything coming out of Vought.

The fact that Deku could defeat Homelander would drive him completely wild. Even without using the full extent of One For All, Deku would be able to defeat Homelander without much trouble. Homelander is faster, but Deku is stronger and much more skilled. Homelander's lasers can be a problem, but all it takes is one good hit for Deku to crush his body and humble Homelander.

Hamon won't save Jonathan Joestar from Homelander

Jonathan Joestar would lose to Homelander

The main character in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom BloodJonathan Joestar is one of only two JoJos to lose their final battle. Jonathan is a prodigy alongside Hamon and incredibly powerful in his own right, but he just can't keep up with super-powered enemies without pushing himself to the brink.

Even if he had a stand, Jonathan would use Hermit Purple, which would do nothing against Homelander. Jonathan Joestar was killed by Dio Brando's eye lasers at the end of Phantom bloodand Homelander is more than quick enough to fire his lasers at Jonathan's neck and hit him before he could dodge. Pick and luck won't help Jonathan against Homelander.

Gear 5 Luffy taunts Homelander

To be clear, any version of Luffy would defeat Homelander, even Luffy at the beginning of the East Blue Saga. Now that he's unlocked Gear 5, however, Luffy would have an absolute field day with Homelander. Gear 5's toon force hax would break Homelander's brain and tear him down in a humiliating showdown sure to leave him broken and crying.

Gear 5 Luffy is incredibly strong as it is, but he hasn't even realized the full extent of Gear 5's power – not that Homelander would give Luffy enough of a challenge to push him to his limits. Realistically, Luffy could flatten Homelander in seconds. Quite literally if he really wanted to put Homelander in his place.

Homelander was able to stop Eren & The Rumbling

The Rumbling completely destroyed Attack on Titans world. Eren wiped out roughly 80% of humanity by starting the Rumble. Not that Homelander would be selfless enough to save the world, but he could have stopped the rumblings with minimal casualties if he wanted to. Homelander's raw strength, speed, lasers and ability to fly make him basically unbeatable against a Titan.

Eren wouldn't be able to do a single thing against Homelander in a fight. Homelander would take him out quickly. The real problem is that Homelander would likely be aboard the Rumbling. At worst, Homelander lets Rumbling play out and then kills Eren himself when all is said and done.

Saitama takes out Homelander with a punch

Saitama from One Punch Man can defeat any enemy with one blow (,man). By design alone, there is simply no way Homelander can beat Saitama. As a gag character, Saitama is basically unbeatable. The very concept of his existence is based on him being able to beat even the strongest opponents One Punch Man.

Homelander would feel humiliated by how strong Saitama is. Nothing he can throw at him would do any damage. At most, Homelander would simply annoy Saitama, which would fry his brain as badly as being knocked out by a punch. Saitama doesn't kill people, but he can make an exception for Homelander.

Baki Hanma is strong, but still only human

Homelander doesn't beat Yujiro, but Baki Hanma is a completely different matter. Baki is powerful and is considered the “strongest boy on earth.” He can do borderline impossible feats that the average human would consider unthinkable. Baki Hanma is one of the most powerful fighters in his universe and he would give Homelander a great fight.

Baki could absolutely hurt Homelander, which would greatly hurt his pride, but in the grand scheme of things, Homelander can beat him. Baki can't do anything once Homelander is airborne, and his lasers could mortally wound him. If Homelander wanted to, he could fly Baki into space and leave him for dead.

Homelander Can't Even Touch Sung Jinwoo

Based on his powers and abilities, Homelander would become an A-rank i Solo Leveling universe, which would greatly hurt his pride. Any S-Rank could easily destroy Homelander, especially Sung Jinwoo. Sung Jinwoo wouldn't even have to use his shadow army to kill Homelander. He could cut him down in seconds.

Homelander wouldn't be able to so much as hurt Sung Jinwoo, and running away won't save him from being wiped out. Even if Sung Jinwoo held back, he would absolutely be able to crater Homelander. Realistically, Homelander wouldn't even get a chance to fight Sung Jinwoo if he was in Solo Leveling universe. Any of the National Level Hunters would destroy him on the spot.

Mr. Satan would be terrified of Homelander

Mr. Satan is the strongest character in Dragon Ball who cannot use Ki. Compared to the Z-Fighters, he's pathetically weak, but to the average human, he's actually quite powerful. Unfortunately, Homelander was going to town on Hercule. Homelander's ability to fly and fire lasers makes him a real threat to Mr. Satan.

Satan would be absolutely terrified of Homelander and would likely try to appeal to his better nature. At best, Homelander spares Satan so he can be his lackey. At worst, Homelander kills him with a single hit. Of course, the moment he injures Hercule, Majin Buu will turn Homelander into chocolate and eat him on the spot.

Goku doesn't even need to transform to kill Homelander

Even before training with Master Roshi, Kid Goku could defeat Homelander. Honestly, any Dragon Ball character who can use Ki could kill Homelander without much problem. As an adult, Goku wouldn't even need to go Super Saiyan. A swipe of a finger would disable the Homelander on the spot.

At full power, Goku would make a complete fool of Homelander. There's nothing Homelander can do to stop him. The moment Homelander punches Goku, his hand would shatter on his chest, turning all his finger bones to dust. Goku's cheerful attitude would only confuse Homelander when he realizes that he is hopelessly outclassed.

Tanjiro Can't Cut Through Homelander

Tanjiro is an incredible swordsman and a master at killing demons, but his sword isn't up to cutting Homelander. If anything, Homelander would smash Tanjiro's blade to pieces, leaving him completely helpless.

Homelander is practically invulnerable to all weapons, rendering Tanjiro and Hashira helpless against him. Homelander is stronger, faster and much tougher than Tanjiro. If Tanjiro managed to hurt him, it would only result in Homelander killing him faster. All it takes is one blast of his lasers to fry Tanjiro where he stands and end the battle.
