A Forza Horizon 6 player reportedly locked out for nearly 8,000 years

A gamer who caught on Forza Horizon 6 early has reportedly been locked out of the title for nearly 8,000 years after modifying the game file. Forza Horizon 6 is officially out next week, but a major leak has allowed some players to jump in on the pre-launch action.

155GB Forza Horizon 6 leaked online recently after data miners were able to access the game file early. Playground Games accidentally left data exposed when files were preloaded in a Steam update. This led to a few players being able to access parts of the game early, and some even went so far as to modify their scores. However, it looks like modding the pirated version of the game is a terrible idea, as it allegedly left a player with a massive ban that will take a lifetime to lift.

A screenshot of this wild player ban has been shared by TheGameVerse on Twitter, which shows that the player in question received a message that their account has been suspended until the year 9999. This image has not been fully confirmed, so it should be taken with a grain of salt. However, players have suffered lengthy suspensions in the past for similar reasons, so it's not impossible. Forza Horizon 6s release date is just a few days away at this point, but there are some gamers who just couldn't wait to check it out.

The banned player must have tried to modify Forza Horizon 6 with cheating, which is what started the hard ban. While it's unclear if this image is completely legit or not, it's worth other players taking this into account before possibly modding the racing game before it's released. It has been five years Forza Horizon 5so the excitement for a new game is understandable. But that excitement has apparently backfired for some. It is also important to mention that the leaked online version is only a piece of what the game offers. Forza Horizon 6s file size is huge, so the player only got to experience part of the game before he was hit with the ban.

Also online features like Forza Horizon 6s multiplayer is not working in the leaked file, and there have also been reports from players on social media that the pirated version has some serious crashing issues. It's unfortunate that part of the game was leaked online before launch, but at least it doesn't represent the full experience.
