Black clover may be over, but Yuki Tabata's iconic shonen manga series still left many questions unanswered about its characters, including Asta himself. Currently, there is no concrete news related to special chapters, or even one directly Black clover sequel, but the possibility is not completely ruled out.

And speaking of Black clovers ending, many fans received it with mixed feelings. On the one hand, readers are happy with the happy conclusion, but others believe something characters deserve better endings in Black Clover. That's either because their character arcs felt rushed or their predicted outcomes didn't quite live up to expectations.
Yami Sukehiro
The former Black Bulls captain was one of the loved ones Black clover characters who got a happy ending. After all, Yami ends up with Charlotte, and the final chapter hints that they married each other at some point. While Yami's personal life is finally settled, many fans are not happy with his decision to leave the Black Bulls.
Shortly after Asta became the Wizard King, Yami left his position, not because he had lost his strength or purpose, but because he dislikes working under a brat like Asta. Although he supported Asta's claim to the prestigious title, he still preferred to do things his own way rather than answer to his former subordinate. It's time for Yami to forge a new future with Charlotte Roselei, but the idea of Yami walking away from the Black Bulls entirely still feels strangely fitting yet a little surreal to fans.
Charmy Pappitson
One of the biggest surprises in Black clover The ending is Charmy Pappitson's relationship with Rill Boismortier, the captain of Aqua Deer's magical knights. They end up marrying and having seven children, a detail that quickly became one of the most unexpected revelations among fans.
While this Black clover the couple deserves to be celebrated, many questions about Charmy's ancestry remain unanswered. The unexplored lore behind the dwarves, their culture and their connection to magic still leaves a noticeable gap in the Black clovers world building. Plus, even at the end, Charmy remained largely a gag-oriented character, making some fans feel like her deeper potential was never fully explored.
Noelle Silva
Without a doubt, Noelle is one of the best female characters in Black clover. Her character development is particularly notable, as she grows from someone burdened by family pressure and insecurity to a powerful and confident magical knight who fully embraces her abilities and role in the story.
Also, Noelle's dynamic with Asta is also a big highlight Black clover. Unfortunately, as much as fans wanted to see Noelle end up with Asta, the series didn't allow them to get together, unlike the other confirmed Black Clover couples. Despite the many teases, hints and emotional moments throughout the story, their relationship remained unresolved in a romantic sense.
Mimosa Vermillion
Much like Noelle Silva, Mimosa Vermillions ends in Black clover did not fully satisfy many of her fans. She is still in emotional competition with Noelle, especially in her feelings towards Asta. The final panel of Noelle Silva and Mimosa Vermillion standing side by side further highlights this unresolved tension, which some fans felt was unnecessary and could have been handled more cleanly.
It might have been more satisfying for some fans if either Mimosa Vermillion or Noelle Silva had openly admitted their feelings for Asta at the end, giving a clearer resolution to the love triangle that ran throughout the series.

Leopold Vermillion
From start to finish, Leopold Vermillion remains underrated Black clover character overshadowed by his more powerful and famous siblings, Mereoleona and Fuegoleon. Despite coming from a prestigious noble family and positioning himself as a rival to Asta, Leopold ultimately did not receive as much focus or major character moments as his siblings, resulting in his poor character growth.
It's a missed opportunity, as Leopold, like Asta, is a hard-working mage, someone who deserves to learn Ultimate Magic in addition to learning True Magic, especially given his determination and potential. As the future captain of the Crimson Lion, Leopold could have benefited from a deeper exploration of his abilities.
Yuno Greenberryall
Apparently, many Yuno fans prefer to see him as the new Wizard King instead of his fiercest rival, Asta. After all, becoming the Wizard King is his lifelong goal Black cloverand his consistent growth, maturity, elite talent and leadership in Golden Dawn make him a strong candidate for that title in the eyes of many readers.
However, Yuno ends up conceding in her final fight against Asta, and while their rivalry was healthy and compelling from start to finish in Black cloversome fans felt that the final battle tilted too much in Asta's favor, making Yuno's long ambition to become the Wizard King feel somewhat diminished and less impactful than expected.
Asta
Most fans of Black clover celebrating Asta's dream finally coming true. True to his word, Asta made the impossible possible by becoming the next Wizard King. While his performance is undeniably impressive, some fans still feel that it was too early for Asta to claim the prestigious Wizard King title, even after defeating Yuno and gaining the respect of most of the characters in Black clover.
Many believe there could have been a transitional Wizard King before Asta, giving him more time to mature into the role. Additionally, there are still quite a few questions surrounding Asta's background that remain unanswered, including the identity of his father and the nature of his relationship with Richita.
