One of the most prominent and important features of your Animal Crossing: New Horizons island sets your town melody, the jingle that plays when you interact with your islanders. Isabelle lets you customize your ACNH songs, but thinking creatively can be difficult if you're not musically inclined.
Even with a seven-second time limit and a limited range of note options, you can still work impressive musical magic to make your city sound its best. We've found a handful of the best, catchiest, and most iconic town songs that you can create for your island songs in Animal Crossing.

Totoro theme

A top contender for the most enchanting family animated film in the world is My Neighbor Totoro by Studio Ghibli. It follows a family that moves into an old house in the countryside, where the two young daughters meet various spirits, including the huge and cuddly Totoro. You take one look at him and you can instantly hear his music in your head.
To hear it outside your head and in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can match your town's theme to the notes in the image. This allows you to listen to the cute little theme of this Ghibli mascot as you play, and imagine what it would be like to have Totoro as a villager.

There are hundreds of villagers to invite to live on your island in ACNH, so narrowing it down to just ten is the hardest part!
San's theme
Undertale
Much of the Undertale fandom rests on a lazy, and arguably apathetic, skeleton with mystical powers named Sans. He quietly observes your actions throughout the game, but you're generally happy to see him when he appears. A big reason for this is probably because of the classical song that plays in his presence.
Even though Undertale and Animal Crossing: New Horizons are as different as night and day, that doesn't mean the Sans theme can't be a great addition to your town. By having this Town Tune, you can imagine Sans watching the progress of your town from somewhere off-screen.
“Will Never Give You Up”

If you're deep into internet meme culture, maybe the iconic Rickrolling song “Never Gonna Give You Up” is the perfect way to complete your island. And if you don't know what Rickrolling is, click here to find out!
Although you can't share a link in Animal Crossing: New Horizons to get your friends with this classic joke, having it as your island song will surely be as unexpected by all the islanders and get a good laugh out of them.
The Chocobo theme
Final Fantasy
The Final Fantasy series seems to float casually between extreme drama and sequences where you need to do things like catch frogs in a swamp. Some of the earliest entries raised the stakes super high, but all that excitement was taken away when you got to ride the Chocobo for the first time.
The Chocobo Theme is a fun little song and a really happy song. Put this on and you'll smile every time you hear it. Then we can all dream of the day that some mod out there makes it possible to invite a Chocobo Villager to move to our towns.

Studio Ghibli fans are sure to enjoy Leia Leilanis town tunes video, themed entirely around the anime studio. It includes songs from Ghibli classics such as Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Ponyo and Howl's Moving Castle.
Some songs have multiple versions, meaning you can choose, but this one takes us straight to Kiki in the bakery. It also has a second part that follows, making us wish we could use both!
Welcome to Dangan Island
Danganronpa
Danganronpa is one of those series where you are either mostly indifferent to it or love it. If you're the latter, you probably can't get enough of the characters, the twists, and even the music.
Even though Animal Crossing is nothing like Danganronpa, and you unfortunately won't be solving any murders on your island, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the same music here and fantasize about hosting your own island trial with all your villagers.
“The Final Countdown”
Europe
These ACNH songs cover a wide range of themes, including games, general music and holiday songs. Another firm favourite, from this selection of CEOis the Final Fantasy 7 airship theme.
But we've chosen 'The Final Countdown' of Europe instead because it's so iconic and recognisable, and always has been. This version pulls from the exact part of the song that you expect and lets you sing the rest in your head.
Route 201 Theme
Pokemon diamond and gem
Just as the various pocket monsters are sucked into Poke Balls, you yourself cannot escape the popularity of Pokemon. It's a series built on solid gameplay, a huge roster of colorful creatures, and a competitive community.
With Generation 4, we got several great songs in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, and this is the music behind Route 201. While you can't physically recreate this Pokemon route in ACNH, you can still dress up your Villager as a Pokemon Trainer and embrace the vibes.
“It's a Small World”

This collection of Disney town pretend play Alex Brandenburg features music from the iconic Disney series Frozen, Tangled, Moana, Aladdin, as well as several other classic films from the Disney vault.
Despite the rich selection of options in the collection, we couldn't resist choosing this iconic Disney ear mask, 'It's A Small World', from the Disney World ride of the same name. After all, haven't you always gotten off that ride thinking, “Man, I wish I could hear that song again!”

If you cranked up the volume when “Toss A Coin To Your Witcher” entered our lives, from the game or Netflix's The Witcher, we've got good news: the instant classic can now be recreated in your town and you're sure to be singing along every time. Thanks to Epiphagyniawe now feel Jaskier's vibes on our island.
Who knows, maybe it will even inspire a little generosity from your islanders. All together now, “throw some bells to my villager, oh island of plenty, oh island of plenty.” It can be a hit, especially if you leave out a tasteful donation box to pair with the show.
