Umbra is final Main Quest boss in Crimson Desertand he can be a bit confusing to beat simply because the game doesn't exactly tell you what to do, as you're just told to “use Force Palm to break Umbra's weakness“.

Thankfully, fighting Umbra is much easier than the previous boss fights leading up to this moment. You just need shoot fireballs at Umbra until he's stunned, then hit his eye with Force Palmand repeat until he dies. We'll show you exactly how to do this below!

Players can find 75 bosses in Crimson Desert, and we've listed each of them below, from main quests to side quests to secret ones.

How to beat Umbra in Crimson Desert

  • To beat Umbra you must use Fireball (RB/R1) with the dragon on any part of Umbra's body.
  • This will build Umbra's stun bar (ignore his red health bar).
  • When Umbra's stun meter is full, you will be kicked by the dragon and forced to slide.

  • You must then fly towards the Umbra and land on its eye, so we recommend taking the Aerial Roll and Swift Flight skills to fly faster.

  • Once you fly near Umbra's eye, you must hit it with a Force Palm (R3).
  • You may need to repeat this twice, but there is no second phase, and you just need to repeat the steps above.

  • While you're trying to build the stun meter, make sure you avoid the pillars and laser beams to keep your dragon's health up, and make sure you fly as close as possible so you have more time to keep Umbra stunned.

If you fall off the dragon, or if your dragon's health gets too low, you'll simply teleport back onto your dragon as if nothing bad just happened, so don't worry about messing up this boss fight, as you can't fail it.
