Review of One Piece Episode 1159

One Piece Episode 1159 ended the Straw Hats' adventures in the land of the gods. The crew had been trapped in the area ever since they woke up. They had absolutely no idea how they had been transported to the location, but now they finally had the answers.

The latest One Piece the episode began with the Straw Hats trying to get away from the Sun God, who had been chasing them inside the Block Kingdom. He was angered by Luffy and his friends destroying his temple and taking down the guards. He just couldn't stand his precious minions being beaten, so he tried to punish them.

The Straw Hat Pirates are strong, and a new member has a legendary Devil Fruit in One Piece.

The Sun God's identity is revealed

one piece episode 1158 the sun god

The biggest standout from episode 1159 was the identity of the Sun God. In the latter half, it was revealed that the Straw Hats had passed through the Sleeping Mists, putting them all into a state of deep slumber. It was then that the Sun God's crow had picked them up along with the thousand suns. The bird delivered the crew to a giant who turned out to be a member of the New Giant Warrior Pirates.

The unnamed giant seemed to have a contempt for humans as he considered them weak. He was also not happy with Hajrudin swearing allegiance to Luffy, whom he considered a weakling. As a result, the giant decided to play with the crew, and he did so by inserting them into the Block Kingdom.

It is highly likely that no one else from Elbaph knows about the unnamed giant's hobby, which is why he has been able to treat the humans in such a terrible way. Fortunately, he got his compensation.

As she rode the cat, Nami decided to take matters into her own hands. She called to Zeus, who was fully charged and getting ready to go. Finally, Nami ordered the homie to unleash a massive bolt of lightning that struck down the Sun God and incapacitated him. Soon after, Luffy used the mini Gear 4th to launch an attack that broke the wall of the Block Kingdom and gave them a way out.

Block Kingdom “Arc” was interesting but slow

Review of One Piece Episode 1159

With episode 1159, the mini-arc focused on the Block Kingdom came to an end. While it was certainly interesting, the overall pace was slow, and at times it felt like a chore to watch the episodes. Fans may remember that the Elbaph arc adapts one chapter per episode, and while that normally feels acceptable, some episodes like the last few would feel much better if they covered multiple chapters at once.

Hopefully the next few episodes won't feel like a slow burnout. The animation was on point, and Toei once again showed that it always delivers when there's an important segment.

Luffy Gear 4th One Piece Episode 1159 Review

In the One Piece Episode 1160 preview, Luffy and his group can be seen walking in snowy terrain. The preview also reveals that Luffy decides to go check out the source of an ominous roar on his own. Although the narrator did not mention the origin of the noise, it is most likely Loki's voice. The prince was mentioned by name in the Whole Cake Island arc. Big Mom revealed that if Loki and Lola had married, she would have conquered the world. Unfortunately for her, Lola had other plans. She decided to run away and live her life away from Big Mom. In the upcoming episode, fans will get to see Loki for the first time, and maybe learn some new details about him.

The other Straw Hats who had traveled with the Giant Warrior Pirates will also appear in episode 1159. In the preview, Franky, Jimbei, Brook and Robin can be seen along with Dorry and Brogy's crew. It is likely that they arrived on Elbaph, and their next action will be to find their friends. After all, they haven't heard a peep about their well-being.
