In it Boruto: Two Blue Vortex era, the stakes have shifted from mere planetary threats to existential, sentient nightmares. Shinju or divine trees are no longer just mindless husks or stationary plants. They have evolved into self-aware entities that look eerily like the humans they have absorbed. Interestingly, looks aren't the only thing they've cloned. They also inherited memories and emotions, giving them specific goals and wants to work towards.
As divine trees, each Shinju has the basic abilities of a Rinnegan and Wood Release. But their powers are not limited to that. Their true terror lies in their individualized special ability.
Boruto: Why Konoha is facing destruction in the latest arc
Konoha can be destroyed in the ongoing arc of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex after the attack of Mamushi.
Jura's Bijuu Bomb Eye Beam and Sense Abilities
Jura is the undisputed leader of the group and serves as the primary manifestation of Ten-Tail's own consciousness. He is the one who urged others to seek their personal goals instead of just trying to destroy the world. Since Jura came from the remains of the Ten-Tails, he is connected to the other Shinju. He shares the other Shinju's senses, allowing him to track them at all times.
But his signature ability is the Bijuu Bomb Eye Beam. Jura can use his Rinnegan to fire concentrated blasts of Tailed Beast energy. Unlike the other Jinchuriki, Jura does not need to charge his Bijuu Bomb. He can instantly throw them, allowing him to overpower even the strongest of Konoha shinobi. Additionally, he can control it to create high-precision beams, which he uses to snip enemies from afar.
Jura's other special ability is the command of Earth and Water Releases to perform Wood Release. He can create massive wooden structures and spikes to either trap or eliminate his targets. He can also use it to manifest large branches to heal his injuries.
Ryu's Iron Sand Manipulation
Ryu was born from the consumption of Shinki, Gaara's adopted son. Like the young shinobi, Ryu's main power is the manipulation of Iron Sand. He can coat targets in magnetic sand to control their physical movements like puppets.

Light (5)Medium (7)Hard (10)
More dangerously, he can turn his own body into iron sand, making him immune to most physical attacks. Additionally, he can freely traverse the air in this form without losing control of his iron sand.
Mamushi's Infinite Division
Created from the consumption of Bug, Mamushi is perhaps the most disturbing of the Shinju due to his unique division technique. While most Shinju rely on individual strength, Mamushi uses a dark inversion of the Shadow Clone Jutsu.
He can split his body into a seemingly unlimited number of copies. Unlike standard clones, these splits do not share his chakra or physical strength. Each one is strong enough to endanger a shinobi. However, this power comes with a caveat. The more Mamushi splits, the more his intelligence decreases, causing the swarm to become feral and animal-like. If he shared too much, they would even fight among themselves. Interestingly, he also had a sensory power that sees through Eid's Senrigan.
Matsuri's wood release and sensory prowess
Matsuri is the manifestation of Moegi Kazamatsuri. Like her, she is also a master of Wood Release. She uses this to turn her clothes into wood, as well as to manipulate roots to ensnare or kill her enemies. However, her true strength lay in her sensory abilities. She can use the trees in the area to expand her senses and discover others. Additionally, she can communicate with vegetation, furthering her intelligence gathering abilities. She is powerful enough to speak and listen to underground trees. This technique was what allowed her to track Boruto's past movements.
Hidari's Fire Release and Chidori
Born from Uchiha Sasuke, Hidari has a similar arsenal to the legendary Konoha shinobi. He can use powerful Fire Release techniques to incinerate his enemies. However, just like Sasuke, his strongest attack is the Chidori. He can easily create the technique, though his lack of the Sharingan makes it harder for him to control it.
Given that Hidari's screen time is still far between, it is likely that he has yet to show his full abilities. He may have more to show once he's pushed further, or he may be stronger once pushed into a corner.
