Marvel Rivals releases new update for April 2026

NetEase continues to evolve Marvel Rivals experience, is releasing a brand new update for the game on April 9, 2026, which adds new cosmetic content, applies additional fixes, and gives Deadpool fans a new opportunity to make a switch. The free-to-play hero shooter continues to receive updates from developer NetEase, keeping things feeling fresh while adding new content for fans to dive into. The latest Marvel Rivals the update adds some interesting cosmetics to a couple of characters as well.

Currently, Marvel Rivals is deep into Season 7, which takes players back to a unique version of New York City where Mayor Fisk has declared martial law and arrested all vigilantes after a future version of the Alchemax Corporation suddenly appeared. For Season 7, Tiger Division Director, Ami “White Fox” Han, has joined the roster of characters as a Strategist, who can heal and buff allies or damage and charm enemies. Her ultimate form transforms her into a Nine-tailed Fox for a limited time, where her abilities are further enhanced. As Marvel Rivals slowly approaching the midpoint and Black Cat's arrival to the roster, NetEase continues to improve the game with minor updates.

Marvel Rivals gets Avengers-themed roadmaps that all lead up to Doomsday

Marvel Rivals has just released an Avengers-themed roadmap that starts in April and runs right through to Doomsday's release in December.

The latest Marvel Rivals the update has finally arrived for players and fixes remaining issues while adding a lot more cosmetic content to the game a day later on April 10th. In fact, April 10th also starts a new limited time event called Deadpool – Hospitality 101. Similar to Van Dyne's Grand Opening event with Daring Daifuku under the outfit of Psy Marvel RivalTo celebrate the 1 year anniversary, players will be able to try their luck by popping balloons and earning rewards. The ultimate reward will be the Maidpool outfit, which originally debuted in Deadpool (2008) #20 and features new visual and sound FX for the game.

Plus, Jeff the Land Shark follows suit with his own Maid Outfit, also with unique visual and sound FX. Ironfist also gets a premium outfit called Lin Shao: The Knockout, giving him a kickboxer-like look and feel. Unlike Maidpool, these outfits are a premium purchase from the in-game store. Additional cosmetics in store include Poppin' Peach and Yapping Yolk chroma for the Maidpool outfit and Shark Attack emote bundle with Marvel Rivals take on Deadpool and Jeff.

The patch also introduces new optimizations and fixes to the game, putting White Fox in the spotlight. Specifically, the color of White Fox's Kumiho form now matches the base colors of her Secret Agent and Rosy Recon outfit. Additionally, NetEase has added new animations for White Fox and Cloak, although details of what they are are not provided.

A couple of bugs were also fixed in this update, including one for the Hulk that could prevent the hero from respawning if he entered an ally spawn room at the exact moment the player transformed from Bruce Banner to the Hulk. It's an incredibly specific moment, but one that can lead to a big problem for the player. The second bugfix focused on Jeff the Land Shark and his Rodeo emote. Oddly enough, the emote can be triggered randomly when entering the shared area of the Warrior Falls Spawn Room, which can result in Jeff pulling enemies back into the room for massive damage. The emote itself has been disabled while in the room.

Hulk's Healing Hiccup: Fixed an issue where Hulk could fail to heal if he entered an ally's Spawn Room at the exact moment he transformed. Even the green goliath needs a proper breather to patch up those gamma-rayed wounds. The Hulk is healing well!
Jeff's Rodeo Rampage: Fixed a wild glitch where the Jeff Rodeo emote could unexpectedly trigger in the shared area of the Warrior Falls Spawn Room. This allowed Chaos-causing Jeff to pull enemies back into his Spawn Room for massive damage. Sorry, Jeff, the Avengers say there's nothing wrong! This emote is now banned in that zone.
