When you take a visual style of storybook, Cinderella has a pretty unique look, but it also takes plenty of fairy tale inspirations in its boss fights, and then some creative liberties of its own
The incredibly lanky High Sacrificer of the Darkhorn Clan, Kabraks the Soulrend, is a large goat that sometimes feels reminiscent of Baphomet and has the power to back it up.
Where is High Sacrificer Of The Darkhorn Clan fought?
Kabraks the Soulrend is the game's third bossand so is found in the third region, the Mines. This is after both Ashen Judicator in Town Ruins and Fairy Queen in the Lightless Forest.
As always, make sure you're prepared to enter. He is very mobileand has tons of complementary abilities that will require you to run across the arena and deal heavy damage quickly.

Cinderia's first boss will still put you through your paces.
High Sacrifice By Darkhorn Clan Moveset
The High Sacrificer is a pretty interesting boss, as well their movement set is dramatically different across the phases. In the first phase, you have an entire arena to battle in, and a lot of tactical planning. In the second phase, it becomes closer to a boxing match that is about fast movements.
Phase one
In phase one, the boss places totems around the entire arena while chasing you around. It's an inverse of Fairy Queen, where you run away from him to chase down totems.
Here are all his attacks:
|
Attack |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Chasing Strike |
The boss will actively seek you out and strike with his staff when they reach you. This attack can be held until they reach you, so don't dodge until they actually reach you. |
|
Radial slash |
The boss makes a quick spin and beats them around with his staff. This can be performed by itself, but is most often performed after performing a Chasing Strike. |
|
Totem Summon |
The boss summons totems around the arena. These have no effect by themselves, but do when the boss performs Totem Burst. These should be destroyed as soon as possible. |
|
Ground Burst |
The boss summons a red circle below you that follows you for a few seconds and then explodes. Running is enough to avoid this. |
|
The totem broke |
The boss will trigger a specific totem. It will flash red for a second before exploding, releasing a massive shockwave across the arena. Usually only one totem explodes at a time, although the boss can make them burst in rapid succession, making it difficult to avoid them all. |
Phase two
In the second phase, i.e reached when the boss has about 30% HP leftthey massively limit the arena, but also their own movements.

Totem Arena |
When the second phase begins, the boss summons a series of totems that form an arena in the center of the room, locking you and him together. There is no way to escape this, and it remains until the end of the fight. |
|
Enemy Summons |
The boss summons a medium sized enemy to help them in the Totem Arena. This enemy is weak, but can easily catch you from a distance. They should be defeated, although the boss can recall them after a delay. |
|
Attack combo |
The boss loses Charging Strike and Radial Slash. Instead, they get a combo string that allows them to perform swings and slams, although these only attack in the direction the boss is facing. |
How to beat High Sacrificer Of The Darkhorn Clan
In the first phase, you'll want to spend half the battle destroying the boss's totemand the other half get attacks on the boss. In general, you should prioritize totems because Totem Burst is very powerful.
That said, the boss can respawn totems very quickly. If you see a totem with full HP glowing red, don't try to destroy it. Prepare to dodge it instead and spend that time attacking the boss.
Chasing Strike is one to be careful with. If you dodge too early, the boss will catch up to you and beat you anyway. And because of Radial Slash, you'll always want to avoid them, rather than into them.
When it comes to the second phase, it's easy to get confused, but remember that the boss's moveset is also simplified. They can summon an enemy to help them, and should be taken out immediately.
Backstabs become essential here as the boss moves quite slowlywith long recovery periods after attacks. Investing in accessories that boost Critical Damage and other Backstab boosting effects is good here.
And with them defeated, you're free to move on to the next area.
