Karma is the currency you need i Kena: Bridge of the Spirits to unlock new abilities and upgrade them. This is obtained naturally through the story by completing certain environmental puzzles or finding well-hidden locations with certain collectibles, puzzles and such.

How to get more karma in Kena Bridge of Spirits
Karma can be obtained by defeat corrupt enemies, restore the world (environmental puzzle), and find fruit for your Root companion to eat. Players can use Karma from the upgrade menu (Press – in Nintendo Switch), to acquire new abilities for Kena and her Root.
Now, get extra karma from fallen statues requires interaction with Root (Y) to fix them. Fallen Statues can be found almost everywhere on the map, so players need to keep an eye out for them every time they explore a new zone.
The same thing happens with Fruit, which can be located using Kena's Pulse (L) ability to scan the zone. Then follow the Rota to the nearest interactive object. They are often hidden in barrels and chests.
Root puzzlealso known as Flower puzzlewill require players to destroy the enemies guarding the zones, then target each corruption bloom with Root (Y) and use the pulse (L) to clear them. Once all nodes are cleared, a large bloom in the center area will become available for clearing as well. Repeat the process one more time acquire a large amount of karma.
Of course, players can also traverse many zones invaded by enemies and restore them to fight them over and over again. For that the players have to use Warp Stones to move from zone to zone, without clearing the corruption (Flower Puzzle), earn Karma for defeating enemies every time. Repeat for infinite karma and unlock all abilities!
