The biggest LEGO set ever made is reportedly coming on July 1st

This article was updated by Andrea Trama on 18 March 2026, citing the largest LEGO sets ever that included a fresh Pokémon kit. It was first published on March 17.

The largest LEGO set ever based on Barcelona's Sagrada Família basilica is reportedly launching in the summer of 2026, according to some new insights from a reliable leaker. The upcoming model is expected to include hundreds more pieces than the current largest LEGO set available.

The new information comes from Brick Tap community manager Wiggum, a leaker with a long track record of credible LEGO product insights. The same source recently shared the alleged details of LEGO's first Pokémon set with minifigures.

3 Licensed LEGO Sets For August 2026 Leak Online

A trusted insider is leaking the first details about three licensed LEGO sets that are reportedly slated to hit store shelves in August 2026.

21065 Sagrada Família reportedly poised to take the title of largest LEGO set ever

Insider's latest report materialized on March 17, identifying a new set in the form of 21065 Sagrada Família. At 12,060 pieces, the unannounced model is expected to debut as the Danish toymaker's biggest set ever by some margin. 21065 Sagrada Família is reportedly slated to hit store shelves as part of LEGO's summer 2026 product wave, with Chief Wiggum citing July 1 as its official release date. It is expected to retail for $599.99 in the US, according to the same source.

21065 Sagrada Família is said to be part of the LEGO Architecture theme, according to both the newly emerged leak and separate Brick Tap reporting from January 2026. The stated categorization is notable as the Architecture line has thus far been largely known for more compact, display-focused landmarks and LEGO models that compete with the biggest collector release models. Nonetheless, a Sagrada Família building on this scale would fit the line's emphasis on famous real-life structures, though its reported dimensions suggest something much closer to the company's ultra-premium showcase set than a typical architecture line release.

The timing of LEGO's rumored Sagrada Família model is not accidental

The real-life landmark that the rumored LEGO set is based on is a Roman Catholic basilica in Barcelona and the most famous work of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. Located in the city's grid-based Eixample district, the Sagrada Família combines elements of Gothic Revival and Catalan modernism. Construction began in 1882, and Gaudí took over the project the following year, transforming it into a highly symbolic, nature-inspired design defined by soaring towers, sculptural facades and intricate geometric shapes.

More than 140 years later, the church is still unfinished but active. The basilica says construction is still ongoing and the main building is due for completion in 2026, while recent reports suggest the central tower of Jesus Christ has reached its full exterior height, with interior and shutter work still remaining. LEGO's rumored set could thus be based on a relatively finished model of the basilica, commemorating the end of nearly 150 years of construction.

Another massive LEGO set reportedly coming before the 21065 Sagrada Família

The 21065 Sagrada Família is expected to surpass the current largest LEGO set, the 31203 World Map, by 365 pieces. It's also not the only massive model the Danish toymaker is expected to debut this year; according to several previous reports, the still unannounced 11377 Minas Tirith will rank among the 10 biggest LEGO sets ever when it launches on June 1st. Although it is expected to finish in sixth place, the rumored arrival of the 21065 Sagrada Família would push it down to seventh among the company's largest brick-built models to date.
