Eiichiro Oda's One Piece is the best-selling manga series of all time, and this has been a known fact for over a decade now. One Piece has been on top for quite some time, but like any other series that has been running for that long, it experiences ups and downs. Still, One Piece sales are now increasing after the release of volume 114. During the first week of sales, which is usually the highest, One Piece has racked up high numbers, beating even the likes of Jujutsu Kaisen by a margin.

Oda's latest manga volume dropped on March 4, 2026
In recent years, One Piece has seen fewer volume releases each year. Mostly it's because Eiichiro Oda is taking a lot more breaks than before, and right now One Piece averages about 3 volumes a year.
The previous One Piece volume, One Piece 113, dropped in November 2025, about four months ago. Now in March, One Piece fans got another new volume on March 4, 2026. Considering it features the God Valley flashback and the incredible Rocks Pirates, it's always going to be an incredible hit, and the sales numbers prove it.
One Piece sales are growing with the latest release
One Piece has always sold fantastically, and it has for the past decade cemented itself as the best-selling series of all time, and that's not going to change anytime soon. Last week, One Piece finished as the number one best-selling series in Japan, with around 631,151 copies already sold. This is definitely impressive, especially when you compare it to other series at the moment. It must also be noted that in its first week of sales, the previous Volume of One Piece sold 619,504. Meanwhile, One Piece Volume 112 only sold 540,000 in its first week. It's clear that One Piece sales are on the rise.
Despite its long-term success, One Piece has experienced a few dips here and there, but Volume 114 proves that the hype is still real for this series, and fans still tune in to buy each new volume. The second highest selling volume for the week was JJK Modulo's second volume, but it managed to sell only 214k in the same time. Apart from Modulo, the competition is even drier for One Piece, with all other series averaging around 100,000 sales or even less.
How manga sales will further improve with global releases
This newest One Piece volume has enjoyed remarkable success in Japan. Of course, with that said, the volume has yet to be released globally. Unfortunately for fans in North America and for those waiting for the English release, the release will take quite some time. The English version of the volume has yet to receive a release date, but it could take up to a year before it finally hits the shelves for purchase.

However, other editions, such as the French edition, should be available within the next few months. Of course, new releases will boost sales even more, especially when it comes to France, which has become the second largest consumer of manga in the entire world.

Assessment of the total sales of a piece
One Piece's total sales are incredibly impressive, and just recently the series was revealed to have broken the 600 million mark in total manga sales. This is an incredibly impressive number, especially when you compare it to the second best-selling manga of all time, Doraemon, which is only around 350 million. Not only that, but this new volume of One Piece makes it the best-selling comic book of all time, beating out even the likes of Superman.
That said, while individual volume sales are still pretty good at the moment, it's nothing compared to what One Piece was able to achieve during its peak, which was the Marineford Arc. One Piece may reach that level of hype again when the final war officially begins. Currently, it is continuously improving its sales and hopefully the huge popularity of the Elbaf bow will ensure that this trend continues in the coming months.
