The One Piece manga returns this week with Chapter 1177, and fans are incredibly excited to see what Eiichiro Oda delivers after a short hiatus. The massive battles in the warland finally begin, with Zoro and the giants ready to confront the demon army created by Imu, and Sanji going head-to-head against Saint Killingham of the Holy Knights. The Elbaph Arc is getting incredibly intense, and things are going to get even more heated from now on.

Why Zoro will lead the battle against the Domi Reversi army
The upcoming chapter of One Piece will surely put a lot of focus on Roronoa Zoro and the Giants with him. In the previous chapter, Dorry and Brogy were successfully rescued after they cut off each other's heads, and now they have joined Zoro in the fight against the Domi Reversi Giants. Both Dorry and Brogy are incredibly powerful, and they will surely prove to be a huge help in the upcoming battle. Hajrudin and Stansen are also there, and these two mighty pirates are sure to make their own marks. They are all led by Zoro, the Straw Hat Pirate Swordsman, who is sure to get some big moments in the fight against the Domi Reversi Giants.

Mostly this battle will serve as a warm up for Zoro as he needs to learn how to properly channel his Conqueror's Haki. The Domi Reversi Giants serve as the perfect punching bag for him to do so, especially since they are immortal and continue to regenerate unless dealt a fatal blow to them. One Piece Chapter 1177 will certainly focus on this aspect of the story quite a bit, allowing Zoro to bring out his true strength. Meanwhile, Dorry and Brogy, who have largely been underwhelming in the arc so far despite having huge rewards, will also play a big role, and fans absolutely can't wait to see it.
How Loki and Luffy will confront Imu
While Zoro's fight against the demon army is certainly interesting, what most fans want to see is Luffy and Loki's fight against Imu. At this point, the two parties have not made contact, but Loki was seen bursting onto the scene and rushing towards Imu. One Piece chapter 1177 is expected to carry this storyline further, and that's where the vast majority of fan interest is at the moment.
So you were there all along, Nidhogg! — Imu
It must be remembered that Imu recognized Nidhogg immediately from the Void Century, and for the very first time they knew where Nidhogg was. Judging by the way Imu spoke, it was almost as if Nidhogg was a former ally of theirs. As such, Imu may have a sinister plan for Loki and may well turn him against Elbaph and use him as a weapon to destroy the land. At this point, this makes a lot of sense, as the Elbaph arc really lacks a massive threat.
One Piece chapter 1177 could very well see Luffy and Loki going up against Imu and the latter turning Loki against the land, completely crushing any hope fans have built up over the last few chapters. It must also be remembered that Oda has been setting up a Luffy vs. Loki battle from the beginning of this arc. Also, there is a parallel to complete between Luffy and Loki, as Shanks was the only one who could stop Loki before. For Luffy to be able to do this would ensure that he is on par with the legendary red haired Yonko. This change may not happen in the upcoming chapter, but it is certainly something that Oda would build towards in One Piece Chapter 1177.
Sanji's Clash Vs Holy Knight Killingham is underway
The upcoming chapter of One Piece will most likely spotlight Sanji as well. As seen in the last chapter, Sanji has already engaged the Holy Knight Killingham in battle, and it's sure to be a very exciting clash. This is Sanji's very first real battle in One Piece after defeating the Queen, and this one presents quite an exciting challenge for him. In One Piece Chapter 1177, Sanji will fight against Saint Killingham, and with his superior powers, he will surely overwhelm him easily.
The problem is that Sanji doesn't know how to counter the immortality of these monsters. The only way to do that is by using Supreme King Haki, and from the looks of it, he doesn't have access to it. But that certainly doesn't mean Sanji can't get Conqueror's Haki. He is one of the first people in line to get this power up, and this battle will serve as training for him and help him awaken the power of Conqueror's Haki.

When he comes over to Killingham, it's clear that his ability to manifest dreams will play a big part in this fight. Killingham can make dreams and even nightmares come true, and Sanji's biggest nightmares are connected to his own self and his family. As such, this will create another Germa conflict for Sanji that he will have to fight through and probably bring out his Conqueror's Haki in the most exciting of ways. Fans absolutely cannot wait for Sanji Vs. Killingham, and the upcoming chapter is sure to build towards it in a phenomenal way.

To assess the extent of the war in Elbaph
Overall, the war in Elbaph is progressing at a rapid pace. With all the build-up chapters already out of the way, it's time for the main battles to finally begin. Right now it seems that Elbaph is divided into three parts. The first part focuses on the Domi Reversi Giants, and Zoro is the highlight of this part. He will surely take them on and eventually clear them one by one, but he may face an obstacle if and when Sommers returns to the scene, removing him from the battle against the giants and leaving it to Hajrudin, Stanssen, Dory and Brogy.
The second part of the arc focuses on Sanji and the Straw Hats. Sanji is the one who fights St. Killingham, while the other Straw Hats will fight MMA. Straw Hats are currently rampant in Elbaph. They will also save the library and the school, and this part is also very interesting!
The third installment will focus on Luffy and Loki, and it's pretty easy to say that this is the most exciting part of the arc. This is likely something that Oda will focus on after he's dealt with everything else, but this is where the main threat from the arc comes as well, especially if Loki gets Domi Reversed. It seems like all the pieces are in place for a phenomenal final phase to the arc, and fans absolutely can't wait to see how Oda develops the story this year and what shocks he gives them when he returns.
