Pokemon GO teases next Community Day event

Pokémon GO is officially teasing the next big Community Day event coming to the game, hinting that Tinkatink is its featured Pokémon. The hugely popular monster-catching mobile game has seen plenty of exciting events in recent weeks as the franchise enters its 30th anniversary, with a mix of new and old creatures available. Pokémon GO held its massive All Out event in early March, bringing back nearly every Pokémon ever added to the game as wild encounters. The mobile game also recently welcomed the latest edition of its popular Community Day events.

Pokémon GO's Community Days have been a staple of the game's monthly calendar for nearly a decade, putting specific creatures in the spotlight. Each iteration of the monthly event stars a Pokemon on one of the holidays, offering increased spawn rates and special Charged Attacks to evolve the featured Pokemon. Pokémon GO recently held its Community Day event in March, giving fans the chance to pick up the popular Galar starter Scorbunny and its Shiny variant. Now, hot on the heels of March's Community Day, Scopely is already preparing fans for the April edition of the event.

Pokémon GO officially shared a teaser for its next Community Day event via the game's social media accounts. The trailer doesn't directly show the Pokemon that will be included in April's Community Day, but instead gives a sweeping view of a cave lit up by colorful gems. The video likely hints that Tinkatink will be the spotlight for Pokemon Pokémon GOnext Community Day event, given that Gen 9 Pokemon were already teased during the reveal for the ongoing Memories in Motion season. Scopely has also already confirmed the date for the April 2026 Community Day, officially scheduled to be held on April 11.

The inclusion of Tinkatink as the next Pokemon for Pokémon GOs Community Day should attract a large number of fans. The April event will feature increased spawn rates for both Tinkatink and its Shiny version, with roughly a 1-in-25 chance of finding a Shiny. Players who evolve their Tinkatink into a Tinkaton during the event will also grant the Pokemon a powerful exclusive Charged Attack, probably the best competitive option for the Pokemon. Community Days also typically provide benefits beyond the featured Pokemon, ranging from increased Stardust and Catch XP to special research quests during the event.

Ahead of Tinkatink's Community Day, Pokémon GO players get many chances to add new Pokémon to their teams. Scopely recently revealed that Pokémon Go's Spotlight Hours will return in late March, after being removed from Memories in Motion's schedule. The mobile game will run daily Spotlight Hours from March 31 to April 6, with different Electric-type Pokémon for each day of the event. Scopely will also wrap up March with the addition of a brand new Gigantamax Pokémon during the last weekend of the month, welcoming the debut of Gigantamax Pikachu to the game.
