The Resident Evil Generation Pack on Nintendo Switch will end sales on March 31st

The Nintendo Switch 2 is quite a powerful device, at least compared to its predecessor, the original Nintendo Switch. And as a result of its power, the hybrid console handheld has seen a surge in marquee Triple-A releases, including last week's highly anticipated Resident Evil Requiem.

Requiem's release also brought the release of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village, AKA Resident Evil 8, to the console via a native Switch 2 version, along with all their respective DLCs and goodies. Together, the three modern Resident Evil games are also part of the Resident Evil Generation Pack, a $90 bundle that includes all three games.

Considering that Requiem itself is a $70 game, that's a pretty big deal. That said, if you want to be in on the generation bundle, you'll want to act with some urgency as there are only 29 days, as of writing, until it's pulled off the shelves.

As first spotted on Reddit, the eShop states that sales of the bundle will end on March 31st. Currently, the eShop will be your only place to get the Generation Pack, as the physical version of the modern trilogy is sold out.

At Best Buy, Amazon, and GameStop, the bundle is actually marked as “Sold Out” or “Unavailable.” This much is consistent with what we've seen so far with Requiem in that its physical editions have gone in and out of stock at various retailers, with many still waiting for their copies to ship.

That said, if the Generation Pack is anything to go by, you'll want to enable stock alerts and routinely check your local stores to see if it's coming back. If the digital is good, then you want to scoop it up before March 31st.

This wouldn't be the first Limited Switch game

Of course, Switch fans are likely well aware of limited physical variants. Perhaps most famously, the Super Mario 3D All-Stars bundle, one that brought Galaxy, Super Mario 64, and Super Mario Sunshine to the original Switch on one cartridge, was a limited physical and digital release.

Then the title was released in September and you had until March to make a purchase. It has since never returned and physical copies routinely sell for top dollar. It still stands even after the Galaxy and Galaxy 2 were bundled together.

However, unlike those titles, Biohazard, Village and Requiem will still be on sale long after the March 31st cutoff date. It's just that if you want some serious savings, as well as a nice looking box in an age of limited physical releases, you'd better act now.

Grace from Resident Evil Requiem in Spencer Mansion.

Resident Evil Requiem has convinced me that a Resident Evil 1 remake would work, as long as it's first person

Requiem is the closest Capcom has ever come to capturing the paranoia of the original Resident Evil games.
