The mythical Zoan Devil Fruit class of One Piece has always been full of incredibly exciting abilities, arguably even more exciting than the Logia class. In the Wano Country Arc, Oda revealed the existence of Mythical Zoan Gods, and in Elbaf he has now added to it with the incredible power of Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhogg. As the name suggests, this is a very powerful dragon-type devil fruit that allows the user to transform into Nidhogg from Norse mythology. This One Piece Devil fruit was eaten by none other than the cursed prince of Elbaf, Loki. It has tremendous firepower, and is easily one of the strongest Devil Fruits in the entire series, especially when used by someone with ancient giant blood, like Loki.

Loki's Nidhogg Devil Fruit is a mythical Zoan Dragon Type
Ryu Ryu no Mi is a very exciting class of Devil Fruits i One Pieceand so far Oda has revealed two in this category, both belonging to the Mythical Zoan class. The first is the Kirin model, practiced by Saint Killingham of the Holy Knights. The other is the model Nidhogg, wielded by none other than Prince Loki. Loki having the power of the Nidhogg Devil Fruit became apparent the moment he said he could simply fly back to the Solar World. Soon after, in One Piece Chapter 1174, Oda unleashed the full transformation of Loki, and fans got to see him completely engulf Elbaf with his massive size.
IN One Piece Chapter 1175, Oda added the knowledge of the Nidhogg dragon. It is said that whoever eats the legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf gains the ability to transform into Nidhogg, which is an extremely powerful dragon especially known for its size. However, the Nidhogg dragon's true power can only be brought out when someone of Ancient Giant lineage eats it. Considering that ancient giants are much larger than ordinary giants, if they continue to exercise the ability of the Nidhogg fruit, they can grow into an even larger dragon. As such, the size of the Nidhogg is directly proportional to the size of the person consuming it, which is why Oda purposefully made Loki the size he is.

As is the case with all Devil Fruits belonging to the mythic class, the Nidhogg also grants a special power to the user, and this power is the manipulation of lightning. As Loki takes the form of Nidhogg and flies through the sky, lightning begins to pour down and the clouds begin to rumble. This shows tremendous control over lightning on a scale that rivals even Goro of Goro no Mi.

Loki can also infuse his lightning powers into his weapon, like Ragnir, bringing lightning down from the sky. With the help of lightning, he can create fires. Basically, with the power of the Nidhogg Devil Fruit, Loki can control both fire and lightning at the same time, which coincidentally are Elbaf's two biggest weaknesses. When Loki killed King Harald, he used this lightning again by infusing it into his hammer. This lightning strike was so powerful that it overcame Harald's immortality and ended up killing him in a single blow. This shows the violent power of his lightning strikes.

Nidhogg is the power of the god of war
The Nidhogg Devil Fruit is quite easily one of the strongest that Oda has introduced in One Piece. Given that this fruit directly correlates with Elbaf's God of War, it is essentially in the same class as the Nika Devil Fruit, making it a God Fruit. The Nidhog is always accompanied by Ratatoskr as well, which is a chipmunk, and currently this chipmunk is within Ragnir. As such, Loki's version of Nidhogg also has ice manipulation powers through his beloved pet hammer.

All told, Loki's power of the Nidhogg fruit is more than enough to destroy not only Elbaf, but the entire world. Its sheer size and ability to rain down lightning on almost any island makes it so powerful that he can destroy countries just by flying over them. What is even more exciting is that Loki hasn't even awakened his Devil Fruit yet. This means he must have another transformation to unlock after Awakening, which will increase his powers to an even higher level. When that happens, Loki will truly be unstoppable and can only be labeled as the strongest in the world.
It is not an exaggeration when the people of Elbaf say that Loki can destroy the world, and you can see why. As it stands, Loki may only be the second strongest character in Elbaf after Imu. It's truly amazing how Shanks could compete with him and defeat him in battle.
