What is Anansi's Well in The Sims 4?
Anansi's Well is located in the Dambele district of Ondarion, near the Zanbira market, more precisely on the other side of the aqueduct. Players can investigate the well to learn more about its legend. It will let them know that they will be rewarded if they can complete their challenges, but if they fail, they will also be punished for their mistakes.
In addition to initiating the trials, players can also interact with the well to ask for Anansi's advice for only 1 Simoleon. Finally, players can start the Trials, which are divided into four parts: Weave the Story, Offer a Secret, Spin the Web, and Fulfill the Thread.

Anansi's First Trial: Weave a Story

Given that secrets and scandals are a big part of royalty and legacy, many players may think that this challenge requires them to find and uncover a secret. However, this is not the case.
To complete the initial trial of Anansi, players simply have to strike up a conversation with a Sim and tell them a successful story. It doesn't matter if it's a group story, a funny story, an incredible story, or some kind of interaction on a social tab in Stories, as long as the listeners are entertained by the player's witty sim, they will finish this first trial.
When players complete an Anansi test, they will receive a positive vibe that either makes them feel confident, good, or focused. Besides that, when they get through the first trial, they will get a performance boost to the next rank.
Anansi's Second Trial: Offer a Secret
- Riddle: “Whisper what's hiding under your smile. Hold a secret too tightly and the web may twist, but share it and Anasi's favor will find you.”
- Moodlet hint: “[This Sim] must whisper what lies beneath their smile. Share a secret, and maybe Anansi's favor will be theirs.”
The title of this trial tells players exactly what they must do to complete it: they must share another Sim's secret. To do this, they must first reveal someone's secret, either by gossiping or buying it from the Information Broker. Then they have to talk directly to another sim and reveal this secret by talking to someone and selecting the “Share secret about” interaction on the Gossip social tab.
Players in Noble Career will receive a performance boost upon completing this trial period, which will maximize their job performance and allow them to receive a promotion if they have completed their marketing tasks.
Anansi's third attempt: Spin the web

Players will get a focused Moodlet that is probably there to help them successfully trick another. This makes it clear that they must perform a deceptive interaction.
To complete the third trial, players must open the Deception tab in the Mischief social menu and select one of the available interactions.
Players will not receive an achievement boost in Noble Career for completing this test; instead, they will receive a small boost to their current favor alignment.
Anansi's fourth trial: grins with approval
- Riddle: “Collect the words that remain in your mind and bind them to the page. If written with excellence, it will gracefully endure in Anansi's web.”
- Moodlet hint: “Anansi poses a challenge to [this Sim] to write a book worth remembering. Should excellence emerge, rewards await, but if the work falters, so can its creator.”
Players should ensure that they claim any unclaimed promotions before completing this trial period, as they will be awarded a promotion in Noble Career if they successfully complete it.
For three days, the player's Sim will have a focused mood booster. During this time, they must try to write a “book worth remembering”, meaning a book of excellent quality. Sims who can meet these requirements within the time limit will complete the final trial period.
Having a high writing skill will make this task much easier, but it is not mandatory. Players should still be able to do this after practicing typing a few times. In addition to increasing their skill, players should ensure that they are in a good mood when writing their book, as this will increase their chances of producing a high-quality book.
To ensure their sim produces a high quality book, players can cheat for maximum writing ability with the code: “stats.set_skill_level Major_Writing 10“.
When a Sim fails a test, they will receive the opposite of their reward. For example, if they were to gain favor by completing a trial, it will actually decrease.
Reward for completing the Anansi Trials in The Sims 4
In addition to the various rewards mentioned above, Sims who complete all four stages of the Anansi Trials will gain the Thread Displacement trait. This feature allows them to change their favorite focus in Noble Career, however and whenever they want.
To do this, players must interact themselves and select the Shift Favor interaction. After using this interaction, players must wait a bit before changing favor again. Unfortunately, when players change their favor alignment, it won't go to the exact same spot on the opposite end, so they'll lose some advantage during the shift.
While Sims not in Noble Career can complete the Anansi Trials in The Sims 4the temporary confidence and focused moods are the only rewards they can benefit from during this process. All career-related boosts are exclusive to the Noble Career, and the Threadshifter reward trait is useless in all other careers as well. Additionally, once trials are completed, players cannot repeat them. Therefore, if players are not currently in Noble Career, they should skip the Anansi Trials.
