With not much standing between you and the answers you've been looking for – no more collectibles, masks, posters, statues or anything to distract you from your goals – it's just you and the final push to the finish line. Time to get to the bottom of this deep, dark mystery in Reanimal.
Using the Tank
The final chapter of Reanimal begins when the two orphans have navigated the field of grenades lobbed at them during chapter eight and have taken over the tank for themselves. After dealing with the soldier manning the tank before, climb onto the front of the tank to get started.
Reanimal Review – An Evolution of Nightmares
Reanimal is a great evolution of the Little Nightmares formula, with only a couple of hiccups to show for the transition.
Your tank here controls like any other vehicle you've used so far in the game, except now instead of lobbing harpoons by hand out of a boat, the orphan woman will instead be at the controls of the tank and can launch missiles according to the instructions.
Work together with the two orphans to drive the tank through the streets of the ruined city, control the tank carefully among pieces of rubble to proceed. You will go through different sections of soldiers shooting at the tank as you advance, aim the cannon from the tank and instruct the girl to shoot some resistance you may encounter along the way. The same goes for everyone cracked parts of the wall blocking your way – they can also be shot down with ease.
Continue through the streets, be sure to do so run over the cars on the way on the way if you're looking for a few last trophies for Reanimal before you reach the endgame. Go in a relatively straight line forward until you reach the ruins of a large, elaborate building, then push the doors down to roll on inside.
Roll up the stairs and through the lobby, shoot down doors and walls that block your path. You are in a theater, so roll over the middle row of seats in the tank, roll straight up on stagesmash the chair and roll out to the back of the stage. After breaking down the wall, you will be confronted by the sheep, which have grown larger and more hostile than they have been yet.
The sheep hunt
After the sheep leave the theater, cruise outside through one opening, you can blow into the wall in front to follow it. You'll be on a street behind the theater, and before long the sheep will emerge from their hiding place and start feverishly chase you in the tank as you do your best to escape.
Although it seems like a lot to handle, you certainly can focus on drivingas the girl seems to keep a steady eye on the sheep monster as it stalks you. Be consistent with spamming the attack button to continuously firing missiles at the sheep as it follows, which stuns it and can buy you precious seconds to advance just a little further than before.
If you're confident with your navigation controls here and chasing achievements in Reanimal, you'll unlock the Destruction Derby trophy if you run over every single car on the road during the sheep hunt.
Focus on navigating through the rubble of the city, continuously shooting at the sheep as you escape until it seems to stop chasing you finally. But advance just a little further, and the sheep will come back and grab you again, starting tear your tank apart trying to get to you. You keep control of the camera here, so push it over to the monster and shoot the sheep three times in the head to make it stop.
Even if it looks like you're down for the count early, the thought is stronger than you think! The sheep will take a few chunks off, but until the screen turns red and you have to restart at the checkpoint just before the sheep grabs you, you're still in the fight.
Watch the cutscene that follows until you regain control, this time playing as the female orphan instead. The road here is pretty linear and requires some quick sprints and jumps to navigate, with some pretty tight turns you have to make over cars as the road falls apart, but you'll eventually reach a cutscene again and end up in the sheep's dark, dimly lit interior.
Press forward like the female orphan with her lantern until you get stuck, and then call for the boy with the call button. Run into the shed you see ahead when the path opens and interact with the rabbit. You will switch positions back to the boy again, and your only remaining task is to slow down step forward before you see the end of Reanimal.
If you found all five chests along the way, you'll see a second cutscene after the formal ending scene, and Friends reunited trophy will unlock for your achievement.
