Arc Raiders players get a lot of loot for playing instruments

There are many ways to play Arc Raiders and get loot. You can go the loot-goblin route by sneaking around and opening each container, or be an archer and take parts from the murderous robots. You can also take the PvP route and hunt down other raiders, or be a rat and ambush player in extraction zones. There really is no wrong way to play the game.

None of these paths are easy, however. You can easily get killed by Arcs, other attackers, or your own stupidity, and end up with nothing. You have to adapt your approach based on the threat you face, and some players seem to have found another high-risk, high-reward approach: becoming a street performer.

Play for your loot

A raider plays the guitar while another plays the flute in an open field in Arc Raiders.

Musical instruments are a fun addition to Arc Raiders, allowing you to lighten the mood with some tunes. You can even do it in groups, as the instruments synchronize when played together. Some players have decided to try their luck by simply playing instruments near extraction zones and relying on the generosity of the community.

Friendly raiders have been known to drop blueprints or loot for others on occasion, and it's this generosity that Redditor UsualApricot8360 claims earned them some high-level loot for simply playing guitar. They showed off a bunch of Queen Reactors, Bastion Cells, and other loot that players apparently dropped for them. Seems like a great move.

Arc Raiders key art

Arc Raiders has banned 'tens of thousands' of cheaters so far, CEO reveals

The aggressive efforts have seemingly paid off.

However, not everyone claims to have had the same luck as UsualApricot8360. Some comments said they only got low level loot like springs and wire, while most others said they were shot by attackers. Not everyone seems to appreciate the art when loot is involved, but it's worth a shot if all else fails.

Arc Raiders was recently plagued by an epidemic of duplication issues, resulting in players spamming grenades all over the place. Thankfully, it has now been addressed by the developers, who will issue penalties on a case-by-case basis.
