A PlayStation Plus The February 2026 free monthly games have just leaked, and it could be 2024 Uncontested. At the time of writing, no other February 2026 PlayStation Plus Essential games have been leaked, but it is believed that Uncontested will be the headline of the month.
PlayStation Plus has had a bit of a tough start to the year. While PS Plus Extra and Premium received some solid additions this month, the PS Plus free monthly games for January 2026 were met with widespread disappointment from subscribers, especially compared to the previous month's line-up. PS Plus' December 2025 playlist featured five games, including heavy hitters such as LEGO Horizon Adventures, Killing Floor 3, The Outlast Trialsand Neon white. January line-up offered Need for Speed Unbound, Epic Mickey: Rebrushedand Core Keeperthree solid titles, but ones that pale in comparison to the five that preceded them.
Undisputed could be the PlayStation Plus Essentials headliner for February 2026
Unfortunately, at least for some, it doesn't look like the February 2026 PlayStation Plus Essentials line-up is going to get much better. On January 25th, well-known leaker Billbil-Kun (who writes for Dealabs Magazine) reported that Uncontested would be one of the free PS Plus games of February. Billbil-Kun's report does not cite specific sources, but instead says that the claim simply comes from “our information.” As should always be the case with any leak or rumor, gamers should take the latest PS Plus leak with a grain of salt.
Originally released in October 2024 and developed by Steel City Interactive, Uncontested is a boxing game that features licensed fighters from three real-world organizations: the World Boxing Council, the World Boxing Organization, and the International Boxing Federation. These fighters include Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk, Terence Crawford and Canelo Álvarez among many others. Real coaches and managers also appear in the game.
Since launch in 2024, Uncontested has received a rather mixed reception from critics. While Uncontested currently sits at a 73 Top Critic Average on OpenCritic, with only 37% of critics recommending the game, according to the site. Reviewers generally praise Uncontesteds realism and its ambitious RPG-like pre-match system, but many took issue with the boxing game's commentators, its technical performance, and a general lack of polish. Many reviews highlighted it Uncontested didn't quite live up to the lofty heights Fight Night franchise.
Despite the mixed reception, support for Uncontested has been surprisingly consistent. Along with general updates and patches, Uncontested has released a total of seven paid DLCs, most of which have added a new handful of licensed, real-life boxers to the game. Uncontesteds latest DLC, 'The Senator Pack', was released in October 2025, adding fighters such as Manny Pacquiao, Vinny Paz and Sergey Kovalev. A free update launched on the same day also added new arenas, new NPCs, an online character creator and crossplay Uncontested.
There is currently no word from Billbil-Kun or anyone else on what the other February 2026 PS Plus Essential games might be. It shouldn't be long before fans find out, though, as PlayStation will officially announce the PS Plus February lineup on Wednesday, January 28. When these PS Plus free games are available from February 3rd to March 3rd.
While Uncontested might be someone's cup of tea, it's arguably a bit too niche to be a worthy PlayStation Plus Essential headliner. Given the somewhat disappointing start to 2026, subscribers had hoped that PS Plus would turn things around in February, especially as the service loses another nine games next month. The nine games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium next month are:
