Fallout 3 and New Vegas Remaster rumors fueled by a Steam bug

Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition launched last year, but it wasn't the remaster we all wanted. If the community has made one thing clear, it's that they want a remaster of Fallout: New Vegas. While Todd Howard has hinted that Bethesda is working on remasters for Fallout 3 and New Vegas, there hasn't been much news since then. However, Steam may have kicked up the rumors again.

Bethesda has not officially said that it is working on more remasters in the Fallout series. But more recent history like The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered shadowdrop leads us to believe they're keeping it down. This Steam error is perfectly in line with the speculation as well.

Steam Glitch tips on Fallout 3 and New Vegas Remasters

Several people have reported that Steam won't let them review Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas, with a popup saying, “You must wait until this product has been released before writing a review for it.” Of course, both of these games have been out for years, leading to speculation that this is an error caused by the backend registering remasters.

Another point people have made is that the Fallout tab on Steam says “12 games” when there are only ten Fallout games on Steam. That's another reason why fans are confident that the Fallout 3 and New Vegas remasters will be released soon. These errors are possibly a result of the games being added to the backend and inadvertently being reflected on the frontend.

If you're waiting for more fallout games, it's time to expand your horizons

After the success of the second season of the Fallout TV series, many people are looking for a new game. Guess what: it's already available.

Of course, this has only fueled the rumors of the remaster. New and longtime fans have been especially hoping for a New Vegas remaster, as it is considered the best game in the series. With Amazon's TV show Fallout getting a great reception, and with New Vegas in season two, it would be a good time for Bethesda to release the remaster.

Of course, this shouldn't be taken as sure proof that the remaster is coming, but it sure lines up with the rumors.
