Considering Modulo takes place 68 years after the Sukuna battle, fans aren't surprised that many of JJK's beloved characters have already died. Some deaths are heavily implied, while others are directly confirmed by the narrator or other characters. Either way, Modulo probably has even more heartbreak in store for fans of the original cast.
Megumi Fushiguro
Megumi Fushiguro was a character that many were really looking forward to seeing in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. After all, fans got to see a glimpse of the other two in the main trio, Yuji and Nobara. Yuji has stopped aging completely and has somehow disappeared, while Nobara is now an old lady. Yet they are both alive.
Megumi may be dead though. Although only strongly implied, the fact that he has not appeared in JJK Modulo during the Yuji search, and the fact that Yuka Okkotsu is the new user of Ten Shadows, his own technique, strongly suggests that he is dead.
Hana Kurusu
Hana Kurusu was definitely an interesting character from the original Jujutsu Kaisen series. Even though she wasn't the main character, she still had some good moments against Sukuna. Still, her death was recently confirmed in Jujutusu Kaisen Modulo by Nobara.
When asked about Yuji, Nobara mentioned that she hasn't seen him since Hana Kurusu's funeral. This cements that Hana really did die a while ago. There are also some implications of her having married Megumi, but whether that is true or not remains to be confirmed.
Mei Mei
Mei Mei was a class 1 wizard in the original Jujutsu Kaisen. While a strong mage, Mei Mei was definitely not a great person, although she sometimes helped the main cast. Mei Mei took control of the New Shadow Style School at the end of Jujutsu Kaisenbut not much is known of her fate until Modulo.
In Modulo, fans see Ui Ui, her younger brother as the leader of the New Shadow Style School. This appearance strongly suggests that Mei Mei has already died. In addition, Mei Mei would live to be almost 100 years old in Moduloso her death wouldn't surprise anyone. Nevertheless, Ui Ui took over from Mei Mei and has started a new cycle.
Maki Zenin
Maki Zenin was the first confirmed death from the old cast of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. Maki's death was confirmed in the very first chapter, and it made fans very sad and shocked. If there is one character that fans expected to be much older than most characters, it was definitely Maki.

After all, Maki is a superhuman and has superior resistance to things like disease. That she was one of the first to die was not something many expected. The circumstances surrounding her death remain a mystery, but many assume it was just a normal death. Maki's death broke many hearts in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. Her death even killed Yuta with heartbreakand her grandchildren, especially Tsurugi, were deeply affected.
Yuta Okkotsu
Yuta Okkotsu is the second Modulo character whose death was confirmed in the very first chapter of the series. After the events in JJK, Yuta went on to lead the Gojo clan. He also married his high school sweetheart, Maki Zenin. With him Yuta had a child, named Iori Okkotsu, and they also had two grandchildren.
Yuta was fine, but ended up dying of heartbreak. Maki's death affected him greatly, especially as someone whose powers revolved around love. With his death, he passed his ring to his grandson, Yuka Okkotsu.
Gojo Satoru
If there's one death that has completely turned the Jujutsu Kaisen story around, it's definitely Gojo Satoru. Gojo Satoru died during the final battle against Sukuna in the original JJK manga.
Gojo was split in half after letting his guard down, and fans have yet to recover from the shock of seeing him gone. That day humanity lost its strongest. Had Gojo survived this battle, he could have been in Modulo in the 90s. Humanity would definitely have been lucky to have Gojo against the threat of Dabura.
