Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo has delivered an absolutely incredible experience to fans so far. The series has shown fans exactly what Gege Akutami can do when he puts a lot of focus on world building and character writing. While JJK Modulo is a short manga, it is clear that the quality that Gege possesses has not decreased at all.

Right now, JJK Modulo focuses on the construction conflict between the humans and the alien race Simurians. Due to the growing conflict, especially after the shooting of Cross, it seems that war is inevitable. But just before the war, fans will most likely see the conclusion of the duel between Yuka Okkotsu and Dabura. As it stands, this duel seems one-sided even afterwards Yuka made a binding vow and summoned Mahoraga. As such, there is a dire need for the strongest wizard to return and take her place. Of course, Gojo Satoru is dead and he can't fight Dabura, which he would love to have. In his place, Yuji Itadori must step up once again and show the world why he was Gojo's student.

Yuji Itadori returns to fight Dabura
It has already been confirmed in JJK Modulo to Yuji Itadori is alive and well. In fact, he's stronger than ever before, considering it's already been confirmed that he doesn't age anymore. Yuji was the perfect vessel for Sukuna, so it makes sense that his body is special. In addition to that, one must also remember that Yuji consumed Death Paintings 4-9, meaning his body is no longer human and he has stopped aging completely.

Based on all that JJK Modulo has told the fans it is quite clear that Yuji Itadori will return at some point. After Yuka vs Dabura, his return wouldn't make sense since he wouldn't be needed anymore. The only time that Yuji can actually make a return in JJK is right now before the duel starts.

Yuka vs Dabura is quite an exciting fightbut it certainly cannot be allowed to draw conclusions for two main reasons. The first reason this battle can't be allowed to end is that it would essentially kill Yuka instantly. She only has three months left to live and Tsurugi wants her to live these three months to the fullest. If Mahoraga hits Dabura, it will kill Yuka, as she is involved in the ritual. If not, Dabura will kill Yuka. Either way, she would die prematurely even though she already has a very short life.

The second and most important reason why she cannot be allowed to fully fight Dabura is that if she did, her goal of surpassing Yuta would not be realized. Making a binding vow makes Yuka stronger by force. This is not a natural progression of strength, and it is clearly not what she wanted for herself. Yuji Itadori absolutely must return and show the world why he is the strongest wizard around, and save Yuka's life as well.
Yuji could die in the fight against Dabura
Another reason why Yuji Itadori absolutely has to return is that would end his own character arc as well. It has been established in JJK Modulo that he cannot die, and this has made him sad for various reasons. The first main reason is that he can't fulfill his grandfather's last wish, and secondly, he can't stand his friends dying around him all the time.

Yuji wants to be freed from this prison and a fight against Dabura will be the perfect opportunity for him to get just that. Dabura is the only character alive who can kill Yuji in battleand that is why this fight absolutely must happen. Once again, JJK will bring fans the strongest clashes, and it will definitely be a battle to watch.
Jujutsu Kaisen's sequel, called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, is featured in Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. The series is set 68 years into the future, after the events of the Shinjuku Showdown. The main characters of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo are Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu, grandchildren of Yuta and Maki. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 17 will be released on January 4, 2026.
