iPhone Fold design leaked

A new one iPhone the leak claims to showcase the design of Apple's upcoming foldable smartphone, following in the footsteps of Samsung and Google. Foldable phones have become one of the hottest new styles of device in the smartphone industry, with phones like the Samsung Galaxy Fold and Google Pixel Fold leading the way. The uniquely designed smartphones come in several variations, with both vertical folds that allow users to compress their phone into a smaller package and horizontal folds that create a pseudo-tablet. Now Apple is set to be the next major phone maker to jump on the foldable trend.

The introduction of a foldable iPhone has been one of the biggest rumors surrounding Apple in recent months. Leaks have strongly suggested that Apple is interested in bringing the foldable design to its iconic line of smartphones, although the company has yet to officially confirm its plans. An announcement about a foldable iPhone was noticeably absent from Apple's big showcase in September, when Apple officially unveiled the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air along with several other upcoming products. A prominent leaker could now give fans an early look at Apple's push into foldable phones.

iPhone Fold design leaks ahead of official announcement

Popular tech YouTuber Jon Prosser shares some early 3D renderings of the upcoming iPhone Fold, which is said to launch next year. The iPhone Fold will reportedly have a similar layout to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series of phones, which fold out horizontally to increase the size of the screen. The iPhone Fold is said to boast a 5.5-inch screen on the outside of the phone, while the foldable interior will expand the size of the iPhone's screen to 7.8 inches. The iPhone Fold is also rumored to have a major advantage over other similar foldable phones, with Apple claiming to have found a way to remove the fold from the inner screen. Prosser claims the iPhone Fold will be released sometime in 2026, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro.

Prosser goes into more depth about the specifications and features of the new foldable iPhone in the video. The phone will reportedly include a “hole punch camera” embedded in the top left corner of the foldable display, similar to the internal cameras used by other foldable phones. Prosser also explains in more detail how Apple intends to remove the infamous crease from its interior, which is said to be aided by a combination of a “metal plate that distributes pressure more evenly” and “liquid metal.”
