One Piece fans prepare for one last hurray before the anime goes on hiatus. In many ways, episode 1154 can be considered the finale of the Egghead arc, as the Straw Hats left the island and set sail for Elbaf.
One Piece: The Last Straw Hat's identity, explained
The Straw Hat Pirates have one last member waiting. Their identities will be revealed during One Piece Elbaf's arc.
The highlight of the episode was Vegapunk and his plan to thwart York and the rest of the World Government. For the most part, fans were unaware of how Vegapunk managed to sneak the transmission slug inside the Iron Giant. Finally they got all the answers in and more One Piece Section 1154.
Vegapunk knew York had betrayed him
Two weeks before the Egghead Incident, Vegapunk learned that one of the satellites had betrayed him and stolen part of the Mother Flame. The individual had created false memories to deceive the others and was almost successful. But Stella, Pythagoras and Shaka rolled up their sleeves and started right away.
Stella and Shaka suspected that Lilith was the traitor. After all, she was the personification of Vegapunk's evil side. The two held on to the faith, but Pythagoras refused to accept that Lilith was the traitor. After a week of work, Stella, Shaka and Pythagoras learned that it was York who had betrayed them and sent part of the Mother Flame to the Five Elders using the Sea Beast Weapons.
After that, Vegapunk decided to record a message, and the trigger for it was his death. His decision was a little bizarre, but it proved that the scientist was determined to let the world know the truth. After the message was recorded, Vegapunk hid the transponder slug inside the Iron Giant, knowing York wouldn't figure it out easily. In the end, Stellar, Shaka, and Pythagoras erased their memories so York couldn't find out.
Vivi still travels with the Morgans
Another standout moment was seeing Vivi rebuke the Morgans for spreading lies and propaganda. Vivi has always been brave, so she doesn't hesitate to speak her mind. Despite getting an earful from Vivi, Morgans was hardly affected by it. As editor of the World Journal, Morgans feels it is his job to produce exciting news and share it with the public. He doesn't care if the news is fake or if it might cause panic among people. All he wants is publicity.

It will be the final episode of the Egghead arc
One Piece Episode 1155 will be released on December 28, 2025. It is entitled “The Promised Horizon – Off to the long-awaited Elbaph”. The episode will follow the Straw Hats as they continue their journey towards Elbaf, the land of the giants. Every single member of the crew will be happy to leave Egghead Island in one piece. Usopp, in particular, will be happy to go to Elbaf, as he considers Dorry and Brogy to be his teachers. Besides him, Nico Robin will also be eager to land in Elbaf, as she wants to meet Jaguar D. Saul.
One Piece: The Last Straw Hat may have been confirmed by Oda, and it's not Loki
Who the last Straw Hat is is a big mystery in One Piece, but it probably isn't Loki.
Aside from the Straw Hats, One Piece Episode 1155 will focus on Lilith and Bonney, who both suffered greatly in the Egghead arc. Lilith lost four of her close friends, and she couldn't do anything about it. Meanwhile, Bonney learned the harsh truth about Kuma's entire life, including how he gave up his humanity. Bonney was upset after being bombarded with the truth, but she managed to get her revenge on Jaygarcia Saturn. Finally, Bonney and Kuma can be together as they travel to Elbaf with the Straw Hat Pirates.
One Piece Episode 1155 will also highlight the future of Jaygarcia Saturn. As the Deity responsible for handling all things related to science and defense, Saturn will be held accountable by Imu, who obviously does not like failure. There is a chance that Jaygarcia Saturn will not be part of the rest of the story, but whether or not that turns out to be true remains to be seen.
Where to watch One Piece Episode 1155?
One Piece Episode 1155 will be available to stream on Crunchyroll. The episode will have Japanese audio with English subtitles. The latter can be changed if fans are not comfortable with the language. It would be remiss not to mention that episode 1155 will be the last episode of the anime before it goes seasonal. Old fans will miss the format, especially since it has been running since 1999. However, it is the right decision, as it will give the studio more time to produce the episodes and maintain the high quality.
