Analyst Says Witcher 3 DLC Coming May 2026, Witcher 4 Coming Late 2027

An analyst at Noble Securities named Mateusz Chrzanowski has released a barrage of information about CDPR's upcoming projects, starting with Witcher 3 DLC. Rumors first came about that The Witcher 3 could get a new story DLC in the summer of 2025, and now Chrzanowski has estimated that it will be released in May 2026 for a sum of $30. Despite the game being over 10 years old, Noble Securities expects this paid content to do quite well, predicting that it will sell roughly 11 million copies. Releasing it may be more of a marketing tactic too Witcher franchise than anything else, as this new report also claims that DLC will launch as well Witcher 4s complete marketing campaign.

After The Witcher 3 gets its “one more patch” and story DLC, all eyes are on the next game in the series. According to Chrzanowski, The Witcher 4 will be released sometime in Q4 2027, which is in line with previous estimates. CDPR has already announced that they plan to release The Witcher 4, 5and 6 within a six-year period, so if Noble Securities' forecast is correct and no major delays occur, Witcher the trilogy could end in late 2033. Chrzanowski says that ambitious timeline is still on the table for now, but the trilogy's budget has swelled from roughly $586 million to nearly $900 million. These skyrocketing costs could give CDPR more reason to release the games so close together and create more consistent revenue.

Next on the note after The Witcher 4 is Cyberpunk 2formerly known as “Project Orion.” Earlier reports from CDPR suggested that Cyberpunk 2 may not come out until at least 2030, and Noble Securities has confirmed that timeline in this new report. Chrzanowski says the inclusion of multiplayer features has expanded the company's estimate of when the game will be released, so CDPR may now be looking at a Q4 2030 window, possibly aiming to launch it on or around Cyberpunk 207710th anniversary.

Two more Witcher games may come out before then. The report predicts “Project Sirius”, a multiplayer Witcher game and “Canis Majoris”, a remake of the first Witcherwill both be released in 2028. That's a year later than Noble Securities had originally expected, which makes sense in light of how CDPR absorbed the Project Sirius studio earlier in 2025 after some development issues. Finally, the mysterious “Project Hadar,” a brand new IP, is now slated to come out in 2032 and is reportedly still in the “pre-concept” phase. Of course, all of these dates are just estimates and subject to change, but there's a lot to look forward to for CD Projekt Red fans.
