Itachi Uchiha was one of the strongest characters in the whole Naruto series. In the first part of the story, Itachi was almost invincible and hardly any character could stand against him. Even the legendary Sanin, known to be absolute monsters in battle, was no match for him, even in combo.

His skill with multiple sealing techniques, as well as his genius with the flying thunder godmade sure he beat even the duo of Kurama and Obito together. In addition, during the war, Minato even awakened Kurama's powers and gained access to the KCM. With all this, Minato was easily stronger than Itachi.

When it comes to fighting the Uchiha Sharingan, few are as skilled in this art as Might Guy. During his years of fighting Kakashi, he had mastered the ability to dodge the Uchiha's Sharingan by focusing solely on their feet.
Aside from that, Guy had immense strength, so few could stand up to him in battle. Even Kisame, one of the strongest members of Akatsuki, was shot by him in the 7th gate. To fight Itachi, the 7th Gate would be enough for Might Guy, and if he were to use the 8th Gate, Itachi would basically be one shot.

His strength, chakra reserves and almost everything else about him was too overwhelmed. On top of everything else, there's also the fact that Hashirama could basically heal without any hand seals, and this made him practically invincible.

Obito Uchiha is yet another monstrously powerful ninja that many fans underestimate in history. Even before he got the power from the Ten-tails, Obito was a worthy rival for Itachi. Although Obito himself stated that Itachi's presence kept him in check, this was before he gained the Rinnegan.
After gaining the power of the Rinnegan, Obito was certainly stronger than Itachi. But even though there was some doubt, Obito eventually became the Jinchuriki of the Ten Tails and that basically put him on a level far above even the Five Kage combined.

This allowed him to compete even against the likes of Kaguya. This version of Kakashi would absolutely destroy Itachi in battle and there is absolutely no doubt about it.

It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone to know that Sasuke Uchiha went on to surpass his brother Itachi. Sasuke awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan after Itachi's death, and he then took his brother's eyes to gain the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.
In the war, Sasuke gained half of Hagoromo's powersand this gave him access to the Rinnegan. At this point, Sasuke was leagues above Itachi in terms of power. Years later, as an adult, Sasuke is the strongest Uchiha in history and that means he is also way above Itachi's level.
