As fans know, Boruto went into a massive 3 year time jump very recently, and things have gone from bad to worse for the ninja world ever since. Naruto Uzumaki remains sealed in the Daikokuten dimension, while Sasuke has turned into a tree.

In the absence of these legendary figures, the ninja world needed someone even stronger to step up, and that's exactly what has happened to the series' protagonist, Boruto Uzumaki. It goes without saying that Boruto Uzumaki has been reborn in the Two Blue Vortex series. While Boruto was a pretty underwhelming character in the first part, the second part gives him a much more interesting personality, and along with that, a huge power. Right now you can say that Boruto Uzumaki is the most legendary ninja in the world currently active and he is also the strongestwith his current ability surpassing even Naruto and Sasuke.
Boruto Uzumaki has become a legendary Ninja stronger than Naruto
Boruto Uzumaki's rise to power has been quite an interesting journey. After the Almighty struck, Boruto Uzumaki was forced to leave the village and he was trained during this period by none other than Sasuke Uchiha. In about a year, Boruto Uzumaki learned everything there was to learn from Sasuke, and he even gained access to some very rare Uchiha Jutsu. But all this was not enough for him to reach the top. After all, Sasuke only taught him the basics.
Over the next two years, Boruto honed his abilitiesbut most importantly, he encountered Kashin Koji, who allowed him to take his powers to the next level with his Prescience ability. Using different futures across different timelines, Boruto took the best jutsu that he would go on to learn and assimilated them all into his current form.
Boruto has access to incredible powers
After the three-year time jump in the Boruto series, it can be said that Boruto Uzumaki is now a monster. He has created almost invincible techniques, such as Rasengan Uzuhikoand on top of that, his overall fighting ability is such that he can even beat Code with ease.

Anyone operating at this level is quite easily a legendary ninja, even stronger than the likes of Madara, Sasuke, or Naruto. Unfortunately, legendary status will never be attached to the name Boruto Uzumaki and it is simply because he is labeled as a criminal.

Although Boruto Uzumaki is known as a criminal all over the world, he is good at heart and fans know very well that he protects the village from the shadows. Since the beginning of Two Blue Vortex, fans have seen Boruto protect the village at several points.

After 18 years, Naruto is set to reveal the next prophetic child
Naruto was the child of prophecy, but his time is over. Boruto has a new child of prophecy who will save the world.
After all, Boruto Uzumaki has always made sure to protect his loved ones and also other people living in Konoha. He does not get their appreciation or their love, but he cares little for such things. Boruto is the perfect successor to Sasuke Uchiha and, similarly, Itachi Uchiha as well, and that's part of what makes him so intriguing as a main character.
Boruto's ceiling is higher than Naruto's
It goes without saying Boruto Uzumaki is incredibly powerful and that he is regarded as a legendary figure in terms of strength by all fans. That said, one must remember that Boruto's ceiling is actually even higher. He hasn't peaked as a ninja yet and he has many other power-ups coming in the future.
Even if he has already surpassed Sasuke and NarutoBoruto will continue to grow and become possibly the most powerful shinobi of all time. Some fans might not like it, but that's how the story goes at the moment.
Boruto Uzumaki still has his Karma to master, as well as his Jougan/Byakugan to awaken. Boruto Uzumaki will surely become the most legendary ninja of all time, considering all these powers that he possesses.
