Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has been released, and there's a whole new hostile planet for you to explore. While you'll spend most of your time completing puzzles or taking down bosses, you'll occasionally need to complete a few tasks in what is essentially a hub zone called Sol Valley.
Perhaps the biggest quest in this episode happens after you acquire all five Teleporter Keys. Once you get it, you'll learn that there are parts of a GF Mech scattered around, and it's up to you to find them. This will trigger right after the Varmis fight, where you'll be told to first visit Tokabi and then collect the six hidden Mech parts.
Here you will find Tokabi, the six hidden Mech parts, and kill the Behemoth mini-boss at the end of this mission.
Where to find Tokabi in Sol Valley
After you kill Varmis, MacKenzie will call you and inform you that you cannot move the Mech part that this sand crustacean swallowed. He will give you advice find Tokabithat have set up camp somewhere in the desert, but fail to actually point you in a specific direction.
Thankfully Tokabi is not that far and can be quite easy to find if you know what to look for. Leave the sandbox arena you fought Varmis in and go south towards the Flare Pool.
When driving in this direction, watch for a column of black smoke rising from some rocks, as this will indicate where Tokabi's camp is (shown above). When you arrive, jump off Vi-o-la and talk to Tokabi. This will trigger a cutscene and end with him giving you the Teleporter Chip.
Now go back to MacKenzie and talk to him to earn 6 Teleporter Pods. This allows you to transport the Mech parts around Sol Valley back to MacKenzie in Valley Green.
Tokabi will appear three more times in Sol Valley. However, visiting him is completely optional and only results in getting a Missile, Shot, and Power Bomb expansion. Also, you have to completely leave Sol Valley to another level between Tokabi visits to revive him in a new location.
Tokabi Alternative location 1 – Missile expansion
After delivering the Teleporter chip to MacKenzie, head back out into Sol Valley and go south along the wall to the Volt Forge. You will see another column of black smoke coming from some rocks. Approach Tokabi to trigger another cutscene that results in you earning a missile expansion.
Tokabi Alternate Location 2 – Shot Expansion
After you visit him near the Volt Forge, Tokabi will move north near the large mines. Approach the GF Debris and go to the right side. You will see Tokbai standing there among the rubble. Same as before, go to the soldier to go into a cutscene and get a Shot Expansion power-up.
Tokabi Alternate Location 3 – Power Bomb Expansion
The last Tokabi location is just north of Fury Green. Again, be sure to enter another location to reset his position. When you arrive, just get close to Tokabi to trigger the final cutscene and earn yourself a Power Bomb Expansion.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – Omega Griever Boss Guide
Here's everything you need to know about the Omega Griever so you can defeat one of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond's toughest bosses.
Where do you find all 6 mech parts
Mech part 1
You can find the first Mech Part only southeast of the Fury Green entrance. Look for the large wrecked facility and the truck crashed into the wall.
When you arrive, destroy any Grievers and Shren hanging around and approach the truck that crashed into the wall. Use Psychic Lasso to rip the truck from the wall and approach the piece that was left behind. Interact with it to place the first Teleporter Pod.
Mech part 2
The other Mech Part can be found at the entrance to the Ice Belt in the far northwest corner of the map. When you come, jump onto the psychic platforms to the right and then enter the ice belt. This will trigger a small cutscene, but don't worry, you won't be here long.
Go past the large circular elevator and approach the other side of the room where the destroyed stairs are. Use Psychic Grapple to go up the stairs, follow the hall and exit again. You will find the mech part outside at the edge.
Mech part 3
This Mech Part is located northeast of the Rings of Stone Shrine. When you arrive, the debris will split into two parts, with the one you want to focus on being on the left. It'll have a massive hole in the side, some Shren nests, and the mecha arm holding on to a piece of rebar above you.
When all enemies are cleared, switch to Thunder Shot and use it to electrify the arm. This will activate it briefly, causing the arm to fall to the ground. Now just interact with it to teleport this piece back to base.
Mech part 4
The easiest mech part to find. Just go to where you defeated Varmis in the sandbox. Approach the box you first left there and interact with it to warp this part away.
Mech part 5
Your next Mech Part is in GF Debris just south of Chrono Tower. When you arrive, take care of all the Shren flying around, then climb the crates that form a staircase to the roof. Once at the top, you'll find the next Mech Part sitting comfortably there.
Mech part 6
The last Mech Part is actually located in Flare Pool and not Sol Valley. Go to this area and make your way to Lava Lake Bridge room. Once inside, head down the hill to the left or right, then turn back the way you came when you reach the base.
Fire a super missile at the large collection of boulders blocking your path. This gives you access to the door behind them. Enter and then go to the right field on Vio-o-la. Switch to Morph Ball mode and bomb the collection of rocks to release a Morph Ball hole. Roll through the Morph Ball track making sure to avoid the falling lava.
You can also disable the lava to get a Power Bomb expansion with it using the grip points when you reach the end of the Morph Ball track. This will lead you to a Boost Ball hologram, which disables the lava when triggered. Then just go back to the Morph Ball track and blast your way up to the Power Bomb expansion.
When you get out, go through the door and scan the Mech part on the ridge above you.
This will trigger a mini-boss fight with a large armored bug called the Behemoth. Switch to the ice shot and wait until this bug starts shooting a barrage of fireballs from its mouth. Used Ice Shot to freeze the mouth pointed at you and start blasting one of the four glowing eyes around the three mouths.
Destroying an eye will cause the Behemoth to roar and recharge. Dodge left or right before repeating the above step. When two eyes are destroyed, Behemoth will be enraged and start mixing a flaming shockwave into his attacks. You can tell when it's about to do this because it will turn and raise its rear before hitting the ground.
Focus on freezing Benemoth's mouths whenever possible, as the fireball attack can do a ton of damage if you get caught in it. Keep shooting at the monster's eyes until all four are buttoned. This will trigger a cutscene of Behemoth's death, which accidentally knocks down the last mech part to where you are.
Now just go back to Fury Green to move on to the next part of the story!
