Genshin Impact has set November 21, 2025, as the date for its next special program announcement, during which players will be able to see a detailed preview of version 6.2 on YouTube and Twitch. Although data mining has revealed a decent amount of information related to version 6.2, there are still some question marks left unanswered. Genshin Impact introduces a major overhaul of the Mondstadt characters in version 6.2, with Albedo, Venti, Klee, Mona, Razor, Sucrose, and Fischl all receiving buffs to their ability kits. The livestream will be a chance for the developers to explain their vision for the overhaul and possibly tease any future plans to update other members of the playable cast.
Although version 6.2 does not come with a new map expansion Genshin Impactit will introduce the next chapter in Song of the Welkin Moon, as well as a Story Quest for Durin. After making his debut in version 6.1, Durin is expected to join the playable cast in the upcoming patch as a 5-star Pyro Sword character. Durin can be played as a driver for Vaporize and Melt reactions, but many fans are more excited about his skills off the field. By switching to an alternate form, Durin can fill the role of support character for teams with overload, burn, whirl and crystallize, making him an ideal teammate for hypercarriers like Arlecchino or Kinich.

The live stream will take place on the official Twitch and YouTube channels for Genshin Impact on November 21, 2025, at 07:00 (UTC-5), and will likely include an official preview of Durin's game. An important thing to keep in mind is that Durin in Genshin Impact is a Hexerei character. When two Hexerei characters are paired in a team, they give mutual buffs to each other. As of version 6.2, Hexerei characters include Durin and the aforementioned Mondstadters: Venti, Mona, Klee, Albedo, Sakkaros, Razor, and Fischl.
The special program announcement is also expected to confirm the event banner for version 6.2 of the Genshin Impactwith current datamining pointing to Durin, Venti, Xilonen and Varesa as its featured 5 stars. Version 6.2 will mark the game debut of Jahoda as a 4-star Anemo Bow character, with her ability kit primarily built for healing in Lunar Reaction teams. While the live stream will reveal the exact order of Event Banners for version 6.2, Jahoda is expected to debut alongside Durin in the first half.
Another thing to look out for is the possibility of a Mondstadt Chronicled Banner Genshin Impact. Given that it last appeared in version 4.5, a Mondstadt Chronicled Banner is long overdue, and given the introduction of the Hexerei buffs, version 6.2 might be an ideal time for its return. Version 6.2 will be released on December 3, 2025.
