There is a lot to do in Arc Raiders when you walk from above. Whether you're set on collecting resources for crafting, gathering materials for workshop upgrades, or just trying to bring down more Arc units for scrap, you'll want to be on the lookout for the tougher enemies – like the Rocketeer, who will become your nemesis early on.

Where to find a rocketeer
When you unlock the Out of the Shadows mission, you must do so track down a Rocketeer and bring back a Rocketeer Drive. That's all well and good, but you have to find a Rocketeer before you can even start attacking it. The Rocketeers can appears on all open outdoor mapsand you will recognize them their large floating appearance.
If you already have a Rocketeer Drive, Shani still wants you to defeat a Rocketeer. No getting out of it.
Some of the best places to reliably find a Rocketeer is in Dam Battlegrounds. To the southeast of the test annex and the Red Lake Elevatorthere is usually someone on guard. Moreover, you can also find one east of Ruby Residences, by the northernmost elevator. We recommend attacking one of these Rocketeers while be within reach of the elevator call button to minimize the risk of being knocked out.
Make sure to call the lift before you start your attack, or when things get boring so you have enough time to take out if you get knocked down.
How to defeat a Rocketeer
Similar to wasps and hornets, they fly through the air and scan the ground with sensors to locate threats. A Rocketeer's the biggest weakness is the propellers which keeps it mobile. Aim at them, and it will crash. But therein lies the problem – it is heavily armored compared to their smaller counterparts.
Breaking off the armor will take a couple of shots, so don't go up against Rocketeer without Heavy Ammo. If you can afford it, buy Hullcracker from Tian Wen and lots of ammo to go with it. Make sure you can find cover, because the Rocketeer will shoot rockets at you, and it The AoE damage is huge. It takes you out in two shots if you have a light shield equipped, so come prepared with plenty of healing supplies and shield chargers.
In a flash, the gears from wasps can replenish a fraction of your shield.
It is best to hide in the Ruby Residences small structure at the north elevator can work if you are not outnumbered by wasps and hornets. At Test attachment, you have more choices for coverage and can even use the building itself as good protection against blasts.

How to complete Out Of The Shadows Quest
After you kill a Rocketeer and saved a working Rocketeer Drivereturn to Shani for your rewards. You get three Surge Shield Rechargers and two Wolfpack Grenadeswhich are incredibly useful against enemies like the Rocketeer if you can find some.
Completing this mission shows that humanity may only have one chance to defeat the Arc and drive them back, so the next mission, Back on topbegins.
