Two new ones Switch 2 bundles are now available at Walmart for the Black Friday shopping season, as customers can pick up a new Nintendo console that comes with either Madden NFL 26 or NBA 2K26. However, potential buyers of either Switch 2 bundle from Walmart will need to set aside some storage space, as both Madden NFL 26 and NBA 2K26 must be downloaded from the Internet.
Since its launch on June 5, the Switch 2 has seen a lot of success, selling over 10 million units globally with no signs of slowing down. Although the Switch 2 is available as a standalone device, game bundles that included titles such as Mario Kart World and Pokemon Legends: ZA have proven to be lucrative for Nintendo and valuable for consumers looking for a new console. Along with its upgraded hardware and backwards compatibility with most Switch games, the Switch 2 still features exclusive titles such as Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Kirby Air Ridersand Duskbloods will be released in the coming months.
Walmart is launching new Switch 2 bundles for sports fans
While Nintendo is hosting its own Black Friday discounts, Walmart is also offering customers two new bundles to choose from. Switch 2 Madden NFL 26 bundle and NBA 2K26 packs are now available at Walmart for $499.99 each, before taxes and fees are applied. Compared to the individual prices of the Switch 2, Madden NFL 26and NBA 2K26the new Walmart bundles will save users $20. The sports-themed Switch 2 bundles are available during Walmart's first Black Friday sales window, which runs through November 16. A second window will run from November 25 to 30, but it is unclear if Madden NFL 26 or NBA 2K26 Switch 2 bundles will be available at these times.
One big caveat that buyers need to keep in mind, however, is that physical copies of both Madden NFL 26 and NBA 2K26 sold as game key cards. Since there is no Switch 2 game data on them, users who insert a Game-Key Card into the system will download all the necessary game data when connected to the Internet. Suffice to say, the use of Game-Key Cards has been a controversial topic for Switch 2 users and game collectors.
Although some graphical compromises are made for the Switch 2 ports, both NBA 2K26 and Madden NFL 26 still getting consistent game updates on all platforms. It remains to be seen how many Walmart customers and sports fans will purchase either Switch 2 bundle during the holiday shopping season.
