It's time to meet the only pirate who can beat Imu

One Piece fans had been waiting to see a proper glimpse of Imu's powers ever since the big reveal that Imu existed was made by writer Eiichiro Oda. As the main villain of the seriesit was pretty obvious that Oda would flesh him out further in the series' final saga, and now, with the story deep into the Elbaf arc, that's exactly what's happening.

Just before the Loki flashback of the Elbaf arc began, fans got to see a glimpse of Imu's powers as they absolutely crushed Elbaf's power single-handedly. However, Oda only added to show in Loki's flashback, there Imus battle against Rocks D. Xebec, Gol D. Roger, Whitebeard, Big Mom, Garp and Kaido was shown. Despite fighting such monsters, Imu was unscathed, and it is clear that they are undefeated at the moment. However, there is one pirate who can beat even Imu, and that is none other than Joy Boy.

Joy Boy is the only one who can beat Imu

Rock's D. Xebec had no chance

One Piece fans were desperately waiting a great battle between Imu and Rocks D. Xebec right from the moment their first meeting was revealed. However, few had expected it to be as one-sided as it was. Despite the enormous Haki of Rocks, Imu was completely unharmed during their fight.

All it took was one attack from Imu to defeat Rock's D. Xebec, and not only did Imu defeat him, but he actually proceeded to turn him into his personal slave. As seen in One Piece Chapter 1163, Rocks D. Xebec was Domi Reversi'd by Imuand now it's up to Roger and Garp to stop him.

Obviously the Rocks were no match for Imu. But Joy Boy really is. For those who don't remember, Joy Boy is the former user of Hito Hito no Mi, model: Nikaand someone who lived in the Void Century. He belonged to the great kingdom that flourished in the past. Joy Boy was also the first man to set sail to sea and the very first to be called a pirate. Above all, Joy Boy was monstrously powerful, especially since he was Nika in the Second World of One Piece. Joy Boy fought Imu and the other kings during the Void Century and lost, but he put deep fear into them. When Joy Boy's Haki was unleashed in One Piece's Egghead arc, Imu was seen trembling in fear.

Luffy is the new Joy Boy and he will beat Imu

Elbaf is too soon for Imu to fall

That must be remembered Joy Boy is a titlenot a name. The previous Joy Boy failed to beat Imu, but the current Joy Boy, i.e. Monkey D. Luffy, will eventually defeat him. Joy Boy, as a unit, is the only one who can defeat Imu, and all that will be possible with the power of Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika.

As said, Luffy won't beat Imu anytime soon in the story. Just remember that Luffy vs Imu will happen in the Elbaf arc of One Piece, but it might not be resolved. It is far too soon for Imu to fall, and the difference in power between the two right now is far too great. Luffy needs to grow even more before moving on to reach Imu's level and defeat him.
